Niah-Mae hated running.

That's all she ever does is run, long black dread locked hair flowing behind her as she shifted her way through the streets. She had always escaped from them, but this time they seemed to be ready for her the tricks she always pulled she had never got this far.

"Come on Niah." She spurred herself on, breathing becoming ragged. She couldn't do it, she couldn't keep running. They were a lot faster than she was. How? She never knew. In all her life she only wanted to be a knight like her brother, younger sister, as well as her best friend for they had left her alone in this dark world where secrets were starting to unravel.

She rounded the corner and stumbled smacking her knees against the pavement. That's when she felt it. Her gorgeous skin split open and out trickled the Crimson colour. Panicking she ripped  the cuffs off her woolly blue sweater and tied the pieces of material around her bare legs she wish she had worn jeans. Not damn shorts, things always seemed to happen to her when she wore them damn cursed shorts.

Turning around she saw two figures rounding the corner and that's when she heard it on the wind. "Run my little swan, run." With renewed strength Niah-Mae pulled herself up back onto legs and with that she started running down the street again. She could hear them.

"That little bitch...."

"Get her!!" The other figure shouted.

She carried on running for 15 more minutes when she took a wrong turning and ran down and alley to a dead end.

She turned around when she saw the two figures appear one of them began clapping as the other one repeated her name.

"Niah, Niah, Niah." As he spoke he took steps towards her.

"No, don't come any closer. I'm armed." She gritted her teeth as she pulled out her sword. Her name was engraved into it, she didn't know how it came to be but she woke up one morning and found it placed on her front door step.

A booming laugh left the guy who spoke her name.

"First rule: Make sure you check all your surroundings."

"Second rule: Make sure to always look behind you."

That's when she felt it, a cold grip clinging to her neck.

"Third rule: Don't big yourself up because we WILL always out power you."

Taking a deep breath Niah-Mae took in the situation she was in. She could do a few things, doing the reckless thing she always did because she was a reckless person she pulled her dagger out from inside her pocket and rammed it into her captures leg. He released her with a painful screech, but then pulled it out and began laughing. She looked behind her at the other two figures.

They both were starting to get closer and the only place she could go was up. Turning her body round she launched herself to the nearest wall and pushed off it turning her body in midair she grabbed hold of a ledge that was on the other wall and pulled herself up then kicked off the ledge towards the other wall she sprung herself up from.

It was a high point but her long legs were an advantage. Forcing her arms out she grabbed hold of the metal heater and pull herself up straight into a roof.

"She's a slimy one, I give her that but we're faster." She heard one of the figures say.

Looking back down from the way she came , she ran across the roof losing her footing every now and then or sending roof tiles flying off the roof which landed on the floor with a loud crash.

Up ahead she saw another roof, it was a major jump, taking a deep breath she pushed all of her remaining strength into a run up and pushed herself forward jumping over the gap. She landed on the other roof with a roll. Forcing up many roof tiles. She stood up blood pouring out of a wound on her face. Blood covering one of her eyes so she couldn't see properly.

She was trapped the unnamed figures had caught up to her. All of them running at her as a group. Pulling her sword out she charged at one of them. Kicking him in the chest, then stuck her sword through him. She did her best to kick him off the roof as he went flying towards the ground.

1 down two to go.

She swear she could feel a couple of pit of eyes watching her in the distance but pud no mind to it.

In the shadows blue, green, and brown eyes watched the fighting figure on the roof. One of them speaking.

"She is an awesome fighter." With that they stopped communicating and just carried on watching her.

Niah-Mae landed a punch to one of the men's jaws but it didn't faze him. "You're too weak little girl." He lifted his fist and pummelled it into her face, knocking her down to the grounds on her knees.

"You might have taken one of us down, but both of us are stronger than our accomplice."

A silent cry left her mouth, as she watched the two men's. She shook.

Something descended from their gums. Their eyes glowing red. "You have every right to be scared." He smirked.

"This won't hurt one bit, this is your punishment for getting away and killing one of us." She felt a pair of fangs sink into her neck, a loud scream left her mouth as she tried fighting them off but she had spent all her energy.

"GET OFF ME." She screamed again still withering in their grip, she could feel one of them sucking her blood out of her body. Then she felt another pair of fangs sinking into her neck.

Everything started to slow down, things becoming hazy and blurry the light of the world slowly blinking out of existence in her deep brown eyes with one last suck off her blood they both ripped their fangs out of her neck. She let out a painful weak scream. As they pushed her off the roof. Her frail and bloodless body plummeting to the floor with a loud thump, she could feel her bones break.

This was it. She was dying they left a little bit of blood in her so she could die a painfully slow death. She turned her head to see her dagger and sword both slipping off the roof them landing next to her with a clatter. Both of the figures landed on the floor beside her. About to go back to sucking the remaining blood out of her.

But that all changed out of nowhere five figures morphed out of the shadows. Two of them leaped towards the men, sticking their hands in their chest and ripped their hearts out.

Another figure made his way over to her dying form and bent down.

"Hey, hey. Hang on." She saw more fangs descend and he ripped into his own wrist sucking his own blood and pressed his lips to hers he let his blood pass down her throat he then pressed his wrist to her lips encouraging her to drink. She slowly did but her head then dropped away from his wrist.

Her heart had stopped beating but he was glad he had got to her in time.
