the moon shines over my skin
concealing me in the shadows of light and darkbut when the moon is shadowed by the clouds
it's just me, and the moon and i are left apartthe moon is like my identity
splitting and falling, waxing and waningbut when the moon stays
my identity doesn'ti struggle to identify with who i am
so i seek solace in the full moonalone i am seated
staring out the window at nothing but the moon.the reflection is not me.
