I got the entire idea for this short story from my own listening & interpretation of The Weeknd's second mixtape, Thursday. This was my shiitttt about 7 years ago. Recently, I rediscovered a particular song & fell in love with the project again. I pieced together some kind of story from the lyrical content & it inspired this work. Each chapter is consecutive with/based on each track in the mixtape. This easily could've been a Weeknd fanfic, but by choosing & changing characters, I was able to put my own spin on it. MJ all the way! It was meant to be a 10-part story, but I omitted one song (track 7) because it wasn't significant enough to adapt into a chapter. It's set in late 1988 during the Bad Tour. Some dates/places are changed for creative purposes.
& yeah...I guess you could call this a love story. A dark, twisted love story.

This is purely a work of fiction. Strong reader discretion is advised. This story is quite graphic at times. It contains much hardcore drug/alcohol usage, sex, violence, profanity, & some depressing/triggering themes. Michael is very OOC. You have been warned!

I know that alternative, borderline disturbed R&B isn't for everyone, but I highly recommend you play each song for the ultimate reading experience. Aside from the songs setting a mood, the lyrical content in particular will provide a deeper meaning, foreshadow, & the story will make more sense.
& it's kinda the whole point...!
