Drugs.
I didn't plan to sell drugs, but I had to find a way to go to college after I lost my scholarship to NYU.
I was going through some family issues and I started hanging out with a different group of people and they introduced me to weed and alcohol.
I had never drank a single drop of alcohol or smoked anything until I met them.
Then next thing you know my grades start slipping, and NYU said they didn't need a flunk at their school.
I eventually pulled my grades up but that still wasn't enough for NYU so I had to settle for a smaller college a few towns over from my home.
