Chapter 21: Meet

Jia POV

About a year ago, I received a call from one of my friend, also Bea's friend —Kim Dy. That was unexpected, that's why I asked her what's the problem.

K: I know this is unusual but I saw Nico.
J: Nico who?
K: You know Nico — the guy who hurt Bea...
J: Sht. Where?
K: Dito sa airport, mukhang kadadating lang.
J: Bakit naman kaya siya bumalik? After missing nung namatay si Bea.
K: I don't know, got any plan?
J: I don't know Kianna, I'm gonna call Ate Ly first.
K: I think she already know, I called Den awhile ago.
J: Okayyy thanks for informing me, I'm gonna call them or whatever. Thank you Kianna!
K: No worries Ju, update update na lang.
J: Okayyy gotta go! Thanks mamsh
K: Thank you byee

I dropped the call after that. Then send a message to Ate Ly and Ate Den. They told me nalaman din nila kay Kianna.

Kinausap naman nila si Ella, pero wala daw siyang alam kung bakit nandito. They told me not to worry and iuupdate na lang nila ako pag may something suspicious.

Then two weeks after, I received a text from Ate Ella.

📱: I think I saw Nico, with Jhoana here sa mall. But I'm still not sure. I'm gonna follow them.

I replied na wag siya papahuli.

📱: I think they're talking. They're so serious, I'm like few meters away from them but I can't here a thing.

I replied her to call Ate Ly or Ate Den about it but she told me wag muna hanggang di namin alam kung anong nangyayari.

I told her to calm down and call Team Besh.

She did what I told her to do and they decided to keep an eye on Nico. But for a year of keeping an eye on him. There's no suspicious thing that he's doing with Jhoana.

According to their private investigator, Nico always go to fetch Jhoana from work twice or thrice a week. Then they will eat somewhere tas ihahatid ni Nico si Jhoana. Same routine every week.

I finished all the things that I need to finish here before going back to the Philippines.

Present time.

We met at our usual tambayan, with Deanna. Kasi yesterday napag-usapan na magkikita kita kami.

Siguro madami kaming pag-uusapan lalo na sa nangyari kahapon.

Jia: Let's order muna before anything else.
Deanna: Chocolate Macadamia Latte
Alyden: Caffe Americano
Ella: Cocoa Loco
Amy: Irish Nut Creme

Umorder na ako at bumalik sa table.

Deanna: Why are we here pala?
Jia: Deanns you need to know something
Deanna: What is it?
Alyssa: About kay Jho, alam namin na nagkikita na sila ni Nico for a year. Nothing suspicious, sabi ng private investigator namin na twice or thrice a week lang sila nagkikita ni Nico. Kaya hindi na namin pinaalam sa iba.
Deanna: Have you been keeping an eye on him? Or kapag kasama lang si Jho.
Den: Both pero wala pa namang suspicious na nangyayari.

Deanna: Let's just be careful baka may hidden agenda. I don't want Ate Jho to get hurt from that guy.

Amy: But I wonder kung paano niya napatawad nang ganon ganon na lang si Nico? After all the manipulative things that he did. I mean that's too much, even if I was in the situation. I would forgive maybe but not forget. But on the looks of Jho parang walang nangyari.

Ella: I don't want to assume things, but minahal naman talaga ni Jho si Nico before. Iniiyakan pa nga nun eh. Malay mo may feelings.

Jia: Hindi pwede!
