Error.404 Has Crashed

Chapter 5 part 2

The following day, Ink executed his plan. He made only the Snowdin Forest in Underfell as a new AU. He hoped that the irregularity of the AU would be enough to sway Error into showing up. If not, Ink always has his bait.

Blue and Stretch had come by about an hour ago to make sure they knew what they were doing. Blue was waiting in the Underfell copy out in the open, and everyone else in some sort of cover. They all waited for one person:

Error.

Error's voices were being particularly annoying today.

Hey! Ink created an AU.

Hey! Go out and take a look.

HEY, GO DESTROY IT!

Error was not accustomed to his voices being so pushy, even if they mean to be half the time. He did not think the voices were going to give him a choice in the matter of going or staying. He was even more unaccustomed to actually doing what they said.

He decided to go, but tip the battle in his favor.

He teleported to the new Underfell. He knew he was being watched as soon as he entered the AU. He could see Blue near the other end of the clearing.

"alReAdy, hUh?" Error said. Blue shrugged.

"Good luck!" Blue said. "You'll need it."

Blue gave Error an encouraging smile before leaving the AU before Error could respond, which was probably for the best.

Almost immediately, he was bombarded by a whole lot of Sanses.

Ink was bewildered. How did Error find out? he thought. There was no way anyone could have warned him. Ink knew where Blue went during the meeting. He knew where everyone else was before now. He could not figure out how Error knew.

The attack proceeded anyway. Dream led his group out to fight Error. To Ink's surprise, Error did not kill any of the older Sanses, at first. He only killed the newer ones. Ink could not piece together why.

Ink led his group up behind Error, and encouraged them to be as quiet as possible so Error wouldn't expect them. Ink's group at least caught him off guard, but did have equal, if not more, casualties than Dream's group.

After much fighting, Ink realized they were at a draw. Error was bruised all over, some note severe than others, but didn't seem to care. The attack force lost many, both old and new Sanses.

Error was the one that retreated. It seemed that he could finally feel all the wounds on his body. Ink ordered everyone to go back home, and those injured to the medical bay.

Error couldn't remember most of the battle. He just let his crazy side take over for the long haul. He went back to the Anti Void to heal, which didn't take much time at all.

He knew what he had to do. He's tried many times, but failed. He was going to take drastic measures.

He teleported himself to Outertale. He looked down into the Void below him. The only thought that crossed his mind was how much he had hurt others.

Without turning around, he knew who stood behind him. "This ends now!" Ink said.

Error chuckled as he turned around to see who else was with Ink. He saw Dream, Ganz, and Outer in Ink's company. They were most likely the only ones not severely injured. "mY deAR, sWeET InKy, eVeRytIme yOu sAy thAT, wE fIghT. wHy dOn'T wE sHoW eVErYoNe hOw wE fIgHT."
