In the beginning, the elemental makers forged worlds from the void. 12 universes were made. One for each of the creators; but one of the twelve felt like he could do more. He began to create worlds within his universe, letting his creativity flourish. His brethren grew envious, as they could not create anything more impressive than the universe he made. The makers hated their talented brother. And after fighting him for eons, they weakened him enough to be contained within a pocket of space and time which was named after him, Infernus. The world that belonged to him, was the first to begin disintegrating without it's maker.  The creators, drowning in the regret of imprisoning their brother, created a guardian that would watch over this world and keep the delicate balance on which it was built from destroying itself. This guardian was given free will over this world that did not belong to him, so he decided to create his own version of life. He began with beings made of light, born from star dust and the energy stars produced. They made their home on a small planet. They gave this world the name of Eden and called themselves angels. The guardian after creating the amount he saw fit he decided to create more life, leaving the angels to fend for themselves without his guidance. They built cities with the world they lived in and flourished. Soon, greed and corruption spread through the angels. A small group of angels led by Luciel, the light bringer. And Azrael, the angel of Death, warriors tasked with protecting the white city of Arafel, had their desire for reform and progress, seen as a rebellious act against the highest ranking angels. Soon, the following Luciel and Azrael had cultivated grew, and so did the tension between them and the Court of Angels. This tension would soon turn to war, as the dogmatic angels of the court berated with fire and metal, and with a weapon known as, the Hollow Bomb. This weapon, designed to drain grace from angels, was unleashed over Decagon City, the capital of the progressive resistance. The council expected the weapon to annihilate their enemies and return their "perfect" world to order, but they would come to regret that decision. The bomb didn't rob the angels of their grace, it disfigured them. It turned their grace into hate. It singed their skins, burned their wings, and mutated them beyond recognition. The once beautiful angels, had physically become the stuff of nightmares, sprouting a variety of horns, sharp teeth, and barbed tails. And with their horrifying appearance, came a form of power that had never been witnessed before. It was named, Infernian energy. The resistance had it's wake-up call. It was kill or be killed. And Infernian energy was the blade that would cut down the corrupt angels that hid in their decadent nests. Three years after the bombing of Decagon City, the resistance had rebuilt the city, fortified it, expanded and armed themselves to the teeth. They had even renamed themselves as"demons", accepting their new form. Their safe haven had also donned a new name by which it would be feared and known by, "Dark Mount". They waged war against each other for centuries. Neither side being able to best the other. The twin kings of Ruin, Luciel and Azrael, sought to end the war once and for all. Despite the countless lives lost in battle, they wanted to see if peace was an option. Although they now hated their angelic kin, they would not forget from where they came from. The council, unwavering in their faith in themselves, demanded the demons surrender completely in the name of the guardian. Luciel and Azrael had lost their patience and slaughtered most of the council. The last remaining member, Archon, who's faith in the council had waned over the course of their ridiculous war, begged for mercy and vowed to end the war. Azrael and Luciel agreed to this and left. Archon restructured the Council to a monarchy and declared himself king. He witnessed as Dark Mount had risen from the earth and ascended into the sky and out to sea; leaving a massive crater in it's wake. That was almost three centuries ago, and it would be the last anyone would see of Dark Mount until two years ago. Just as mysteriously as it had picked itself up and vanished out over the ocean, it reappeared and hovers to this day a mile away from the coast of the Zephon district. Archon re-established contact with the island nation to discover that much has happened. Luciel had vanished for unknown reasons, and Dark Mount had taken in humans as servants and workers. Azrael had married one such human and had birthed a half breed prince named Azazel, and had adopted Luciel's son, Eden, after his father's disappearance. And Azrael had died at the hands of his two sons. Eden fell in love with one of the last "pure" angels and gave birth to Enceladus, Azazel's only nephew and heir to the throne. Azazel took the throne after Eden had determined he would bea better king. Eden had left Dark Mount in search for his father, and Azazel had been left to rule on his own a kingdom of demons and humans that didn't trust him. Archon made contact with Dark Mount in order to secure peaceful relations with the newly anointed demon king. Dawn Radiance, the daughter of the angel king arrived as a representative and got to know Azazel and his kingdom. After many visits and a confession of affection from Azazel's part, the two fell head over heels for each other. After a year. A wedding between the two members from royal families separated by two hundred years of war, and bloodshed, was being prepared. If only there had been a way for me to know what would happen after, maybe things would be different...
