Backed into a corner by him, his gun held high and mighty like a spoiled king, she felt pure fear.

She looked into his eyes for any hope of him changing his mind and leaving, alas there was none.

All that was left was an evil glint and no recognition or love for her, and it hurt.

She had three options: fight him, run and get shot or glare down the barrel and wait.

She took a deep breath, closing her eyes for a brief moment of relief before charging.

They tackled each other, battling like their lived depended on it, reaching for the gun.

She reached out, fingertips touching the metal before it was kicked from her grasp.

Aiming her blue boots, she kicked him and pushed herself forward- so close.

She had it, the cool metal firmly in her hand- held tightly.

He stormed to her in a feeble attempt to fight back

Pushing herself from the floor, she distanced herself from him.

His face softened, him trying to trick her emotions.

She didn't buy it, he was gone now.

She had to accept what he'd become.

He'd become an emotionless monster now

He dared to inch closer

Her fingers shook slightly

Another step closer

He smiled
