He strolled into the bar before his job, he was anxious for sure, it was going to be good pay and he didn't want to screw it up. He sat at the bar on a comfy stool, gave the bartender money and ordered a drink to calm his nerves. He set his large black case next to him, able to keep watch of it from the corner of his eye in case someone was to grab it accidentally or on purpose; he rested his arms on the bar as the bartender gave the man his drink. The bar was mostly empty, after all it was mid-day, and had around 4 or 5 others in the booths. A soft smell of alcohol and food lingered around. It was a nice day for this job due to the weather being clear. It makes for a better shot and bad weather puts him off, especially with this being a head shot of the two people he was going to see in ten minutes. The sound of the door sliding open and closing brought him back from his own world, that and the soft clacking of heels, and the man glanced at the new person. Upon seeing the newcomer, he noticed how she stood out like dark against light. She wore a white button up, black leggings, black boots and a long coat draped over her forearm. The main thing that caught his eye was the case in her left hand. It was like his but was different in colour; her case was a navy colour. Everything about her screamed professional, yet her smile was that of a person without a care in the world. She walked over and sat down next to him. Placing her case on the stool besides her and her coat on top, she ordered herself her own drink.

"Nice case" he comments

"Thanks, yours too." She smiled " big job, huh?"

"Yeah, just calming my nerves a little" he states, taking a sip

"How many people?" she asks

"Two" he answers "What about you?"

"Three" She smirked "It's going to be hard to get them all in a row"

"The hardest part is getting the shot just right, get them dead centre" he discloses

"I know exactly what you mean" she agreed with a nod of her head, her brown fringe swept on her face briefly. "what landscape do you prefer?"

"Personally, I like being near the trees and stuff, it's a small change but helps a lot with the end result" he answers, "what about you?"

"I like big open city spaces, nice clear view, good light to see them but I don't mind nature" she explains

A beeping came from the man's watch and the woman's phone. They both looked at each other and smiled.

"Duty calls" She joked

"same here" he laughs

They both grab their cases and exit the bar. They say their goodbyes before going separate ways down the busy streets. They both got to their destinations on time, unpacked their cases and assembled their equipment.

With the aim lined up perfectly, they both shot.

The only difference was that the man's shot emitted clicks every time he pressed the button on his camera. Yet the woman's shot let out a bang and a bullet with every press of the trigger.Like I said, this story sounds like the start of some cheesy joke.

'A photographer and a sniper walk into a bar'

But the ending isn't so cheesy, is it?
