August birthday is October 10. He told us he likes his birthday because it was 10/10. He thought it would be great if he was born at 10:10 but he wasn't. he was born just after midnight. but still. he told us he was going to invite everyone in our homeroom plus Summer. His birthday party turned out to be much smaller than I thought it would be, but it was still great. Me, Jack, Summer, Reid, Tristan, and both Maxes came from school, and Christopher his best friend came, too—all the way from Bridgeport with his parents. And his Uncle Ben came. And his Aunt Kate and his Uncle Po drove in from Boston, though his Tata and his Poppa were in Florida for the winter. It was fun because all the grownups ended up bowling in the lane next to ours, so it really felt like there were a lot of people there to celebrate his birthday.
