A Miracle In Spring

PART 1 and PART 2

As you sit up you look around to see the very familiar hospital room. And the nurse on the side waiting for you to wake up. " Ms.May you have another Chemo treatment today when you finish eating we shall leave."

She then walks out you look at your other side to see the breakfast laid out for you. You bring it closer and start to eat. You then hear a knock on the door. "Come in!" You said,while the door opens to reveal your nurse. "Ms.May are you ready?"

"Yes, but I don't understand why I have to take the treatment if it is not even helping..." the nurse then sighs and gets you into the wheelchair and starts taking you into the room set up for your Chemo treatment. "Alright doc she is all ready." She says as she opens the door and leaves. "Alright May Evergarden you have been fighting this for 5 months your a survivor don't give up!" He says encouragingly as you are already ready for your treatment.

         Time skip after treatment

You were really exhausted and tired after the treatment like always. So after they transferred you back to your room you went into a deep sleep. A little while after you had woken up feeling much better, but you heard the door knob opening so you looked up to see all your family standing there with presents and a cake. You were beyond confused your birthday was not until 2 days later. "Mother my birthday is next week, what is this."

"Sweetheart after your treatment you needed to sleep because your body was still taking in toxins, so you fell asleep for a while so your brain is not working right but, it is your birthday today." Your mother replied softly, but you could still see the water coating her eyes as she looked down and wiped them.

"Well today we got permission from the hospital to take you for a birthday trip and since your turning 16 we will take you to a movie after we go to the park and celebrate!" Your older sister replied a little sad but mainly happy.

As they put you in the wheelchair and took you out the hospital. You saw a cloud poof into a marvelous shape and disappear before you could say something, so you shook it off thinking it was your imagination.

When you all got in the cars and drove off you started to converse with your siblings, mainly Bob as he was really funny. When you got there they had taken you out and you had seen that every thing was set up.

"May~ come here!" Your grandma shouts as she rushes to you and hugs you. "Ah! Grandma my back..." you say looking behind your pale shoulder to see if you had a bruise. "Aishh! I am 78 and your 16 and who's the one with back problems?~" your grandma replies emphasizing who's. You just laugh with her. Soon it came time for cake, so you all gathered around around the table. Once they finished singing you made your wish...

'I wish for something amazing to happen to me~'

You then open your eyes to see people staring at you as you look up at the sky. "So~ what did you wish for May..." your little cousin Jaiden says as he looks at you intently really wanting to know. You laugh "sometimes a wish can only come true if you keep it a secret...." You say calmly and quietly. "Aww come on May~ tell us!" Your little brother says using his baby voice.
Soon enough the day ended and your being dropped off at the hospital by your aunt Macy. Your 16 now and maybe your wish can come true but only time will tell. Once you got out the car your aunt was a little sad about having to leave you, but told you she will be back tomorrow. "Hello Ms.May how was your birthday?" A Nurse at the reception desk says as she takes you from your aunt. "It was lovely thank you for asking." You replied with a smile. After she got you into your room and you were all dressed up for sleep. You slowly closed your eyes and soon you fell asleep 

You woke up in a small room, very very small room. "Where am I?" You say tiredly as you had just woken up. You tried getting up but soon realized that was not happening you were chained... by the wrist and feet. You did not know what to do you felt horrible. You were crying thinking that this was a dream was not helping. There was something that flashes right by you really quick,which made you let out a scream. It grabbed you by the neck and started to choke you. Starting to say negative things about how you will die by him. He did not have a name but he was inside of you. The thing that was making you sick was him...cancer.

You awoke drenched in sweat. As you remember slowly what happened You scream. All of a sudden doctors and nurses came swarming in trying to calm me. Soon enough they inject a medication into you using a needle that makes you fall asleep. After that they left, leaving a few doctors and nurses to check you out. After a while you woke up more calmer, as you searched the room you noticed a man next to you he looked about your age but also looked as if he was 17. You did not know how to describe it but he looked like an angel, but at this your face became red as a tomato and he just laughed at your still red face. "Hi! My name is Atticus nice to meet you I was asked my cancer organization to help you with whatever you need! If you wanna know why it's because we don't have that much of an age difference so they think we can be good friends." He says smiling at me. I don't know why but I already trust him he is just so nice right now. "Nice to meet you too I am May Evergarden and thank you for wanting to be my friend." You say with a gummy smile while shaking his hand.

"Well I also heard it was your birthday yesterday so I went to get you something... here! Sorry I am a day late." He says looking down embarrassed.

It was chicken strips your favorite food. You were smiling like crazy, shoving the fries in your mouth. When you were about to eat the bread, you put it down to take a sip of your drink. Then you  said "How did you know I liked these" you said, while giggling wondering if he was like your guardian angel who knew all about you. He then laughed and said that the nurses told him since he had just been told it was your birthday yesterday.
