~My one and only Agent~

Draft Story 3 {Part 3}

Agent 8 walked quietly. "Can't believe I was one of them...what if she's right? What if they abandon me. What if they're using me? Should I bail? I'm so lost...and lonely..."

Just then he heard voices. He stopped in his tracks from terror.

"Hurry up guys! I think it's that way!" He then saw an Inkling girl running towards his direction. She looked like she was about his age. She didn't noticed Agent 8 standing on her path until she looked up.

"Ah! Octoling!" She shrieked.

Agent 8 froze. He had no weapon and Inklings saw him as a threat. His heart stopped. He had to run.

"Octoling?! Where?!" Another female voice said, sounding much older followed by a male inkling her age.

"There!" The younger inkling said pointing.

"He's defenseless! Get him!" The male
Inkling said.

Agent 8 ran as fast as he could. He had no idea how much he walked from the station and now he's being chased by these inklings. He panicked more and more when he heard their voices close.

They started to shoot from their weapons. Ink flew all over and unfortunately he got stuck.

"I got him!" Said the male inkling. He pinned Agent 8 and placed his gun under his chin.

"L-let me go!" Agent 8 begged.

"Not until you're finished." The male inkling said darkly.

"Please...I have to get back-"

"Back where? To your evil Octoling lair??"

"No! To Captain cuddlefish! He needs me!"

"Wait Agent 4! He knows Captain Cuddlefish!" Agent 3 said.

"He could be lying!"

"I'm not lying..please I'll prove it."

The male inkling stared deeply into Agent 8's eyes. Agent 8 stared back with fear. Finally Agent 4 released him, but placed his gun on the back of his head.

"Don't try anything funny."

"I won't..."

Agent 5 felt bad for the Octoling. "He looked so scared...he looks innocent too..."

They all walked in silence. Agent 4 kept a close eye on Agent 8. Agent 3 and 5 followed quietly. They both knew not to interfere when Derrick was mad. When they reached the station, they spotted Captain Cuddlefish with a worry look on his face.

Agent 4 roughly grabbed Agent 8's arm and dragged him towards the Captain.

"Captain Cuddlefish! You know this kid!?" Asked Agent 4.

Captain cuddlefish turned around.

"Agent 4! What's the meaning of this?! Can't you see the poor thing is frightened?!

"You're letting an Octoling help us when you know he's been our enemy for 100 years??"

"He's in our side! Let him go!" The Captain commanded.

Agent 4 angrily threw Agent 8 down. Agent 8 picked his self up and rubbed his arm. He felt tears coming but he refused to show weakness. Captain Cuddlefish quickly walked up to Agent 8.

"Are you okay kid? I'm so sorry about this-"

"It's fine. I'm going back inside." Agent 8 went inside the train and sat isolated from everyone else.

"Don't you think you were a bit rough on him?" Agent 3 Asked.

"No. I don't think so, he deserved it."

"But he didn't even do anything wrong." Agent 5 added.

"Uh he's our mortal enemy! What if he turns against us once again because he used us!"

"Agent 4 that's enough, I'll explain everything." Captain Cuddlefish said.

Agent 3,4, and 5 sat together inside the train.

"Explain Captain." Agent 4 said sternly.

"And so I shall." The Captain said calmly.

Captain Cuddlefish explained how he found Agent 8, he has no memories and the only way out was to find the 4 thangs.

"I still don't trust him. He could get his memories back and he'll become evil again. Then what?"

"He's in our side. Octos have been our enemies for long, there could be good in him. I see good in him already."

Agent 5 looked at where Agent 8 sat. He looked sad and lonely. She got up and walked towards him.

"Where are you going??" Asked Agent 4.

"I'm going to go talk to him." She said.
"I'll give him a chance."

"I will too." Agent 3 said. She followed Agent 5.
