A TWD fanfic: Carl Grimes

Love me hate me

Carl's POV

I'm glad I asked Felix for help, I really hope Ella will say yes.

I walk over to her, "Hey Ella!" I say

"Hi Carl." she says

"I...uh..." I'm lost of words.

What do I say!? c'mon think!

"I have to tell you something." I say

"Yeah?"

"I...I think we should just forget about last night."

SHIT!

"O-Oh..." she sounds disappointed, "Okay."

She turns her head.

"No! Not like that!"

"Well, what is it like?" She asks, annoyed.

"Let's-"

She cuts me off, "Never talk again."

She stalks away.

"No! Ella!" I shout, and run after her. I grab her hand.

She yanks it away. "Don't touch me. I hate you."

Ouch.

She walks over to Mili.

She's telling her something, it kind of sounds like 'Don't listen to that doucebag.'

She smiles at her and nods.

Ella's POV

I don't know what happened there.

I just know that I don't want to be near him.

Mili understands how I'm feeling, and I feel comfortable talking to her.

"I honestly didn't think he meant to say that." She says, after I tell her what happened, "When I was going to ask out a girl, once, I got too nervous and said something completely opposite. She ended up slapping me, and her friends all said 'don't listen to that doucebag' and she got a new boyfriend, and I killed me."

I smile and nod, "I have to tell him that I like him. I'm pretty sure he likes me too, but just got nervous."

"Go tell him! You'll feel a lot better!" She says, nudging me to Carl.

"Okay, okay! I will."

I walk over to Carl and say, "I didn't mean that...when I said I hated you."

"And I didn't mean to forget it." He says.

"Where you too nervous?"

His eyes widen, "How did you know?"

"I got some 'dude advice' from Mili"

We both laugh.

"What I meant to say was..." he takes a deep breath, "I really like you. I don't want to see you sad. I want to be able to hold you, and make everything alright."

I smile.

"So, Ella, Will you go out with me?" he asks.

"OF COURSE!" I say, engulfing him in a hug.

And for the rest of the day, we walk and smile together.

It all felt perfect.

Until it wasn't.
