Chapter One: Let's Get Weird All Night!

"You idiot! Can't see that she's  completely inlove with you?" I threw my spoon at the screen of my laptop. Ugh! Bakit ba laging may tanga sa pagibig sa isang palabas? Ganoon ba dapat talaga? Its all the same.

"You su-" I was about to say something to the leading man on the movie again but a knock on my door cuts me off.

"Come in!"

A head appears on my door and said, "Ate, mom said kain na tayo." Ah, yung kapatid ko lang pala.

"Tell her I'll be down in a minute."

"Ok po. " And with that, she left my room.

A sigh escape my lips as I paused the movie and closed my laptop. I'll continue this later. Dali-dali akong bumaba dahil baka pag babagal bagal ako, magkakasermon nanaman.

As I went downstairs, I saw my parents and siblings, already sitting infront of the dining table. Lagot, ako nalang hinihintay.

" 'Sup my awesome family?" I greet them.

"Our family? Awesome? Since when?" Si kuya Cameron talaga oh.

"Yeah, Ate. I thought you said that our family is filled with bunch of weirdos." My younger sister who was the one who knocked on my door states in a matter-of-fact tone.

"Well then my dear Clarisse, simula ngayon, we are the 'Awesome Family of Weirdos.'" My younger sister giggle. Wow. Ang babaw ng kaligayahan. De joke lang. I love my sister.

"Oh God, what kind of daughter did we raise?" I hear mom ask dad.

"I don't know. You tell me." He kiss mom's nose.

Ew. Kaderder. All three of us children started to gag. Who wouldn't? Especially if your parents starts to act  lovey dovey infront of you.

Okay so while we eat, let me introduce to you my family. There's my parents, Simon and Cristina Rodriguez. They own a hotel resort diyan sa tabi-tabi. Joke. They own 2 hotels, one in Boracay then yung isa sa Palawan. Then my older brother, Cameron, He's 19 years old. Ang tanda na niya noh? Hahaha. We fight, obviously, every siblings do that, But we're always there for each other's back. Okay, moving on potatoes. There's Clarisse, my 12 year old sister. She's like the mini version of me. Except for the personality though. Mas masayahin siya. Positive thinker. Then there's me, Yassi Rodriguez. There's really nothing to say about me. I'm boring Lorry. Or was it plain Rain? Meh . Wa ako care.

"Rainbows." Bigla ko nalang sinabi. Blame my weirdness.

All eyes were on me now. Giving me curious stares.

"Ano?" My mom say, confused.

"There's a rainbow outside." Wala eh, yun ang una kong naisip na excuse.

"Ate, you've  got to be kidding me. It's like 7 ng gabi. " Clarisse points out.

Oh. Ang shunga ko naman. Hindi ko napansing madilim sa labas. Face palm.

"Oh. Well, I'm done. Me go sleep now." I say in my own weird language. "Bash bush peoposh!"

I lied. Hindi pa ako matutulog. Haler, kailangan ko pang tapusin yung movie or else I won't get any sleep. As I opened my laptop I took a deep breath and whispered, "He better not mess up again or else I'm going ballistic. Why does he have to be naive?!"

"Holy dogs! Can some lion block the ball of light? Please!" I groan in frustration, as I flip myself on the bed.

"Would you please stop whining?" A girly voice says. Wait, that voice sounds familiar. Can it be her? No! That's impossible. But maybe it isnt...

"Tooth fairy? Is that you?" I wonder out loud. " 'Cause if it's you, I'm sorry But I don't have any baby teeth left. And please forgive me when I gave some of my teeth to  the rats. "

Yes, I gave some of my teeth to the rats. Yun yung sinabi sakin ng parents ko. Kaya ako naman si uto-uto, I followed them. Every time a tooth falls off, hinahagis ko iyon sa bubong namin.

"Ugh, shut up!" The voice groans in frustration. "And it's Haylee you dimwit!"

"Haylee? What a nice name for a tooth fairy."

"For Pete's sake Yassi! It's Haylee, your bestfriend." Bigla nalang may shadow akong nakita na gumalaw galing sa floor, making me shriek in horror.

"Oh foosh! How did you get in my room?"

"Nag drudrugs ka ba? Did you already forgot that I snuck in your room at midnight?" Annoyance was evident in her voice. Sorry naman. Di ako maaalahanin.

"Peter piper poo. Let's just go back to sleep nimo. " I shush her.

"Whatever you say, Dino." She mutter under her breath. "Ugh. Weirdness overload." she added.
