She didn't even like him. She only put on a facade for her mentor.

His heart ached quite a bit.

He hated this. He wanted her to feel that weird feeling he felt when he had moments with her. He wanted her to like him.

Those thoughts invaded his mind with no signs of stopping.

Pulling her closer to him, he stared down at her soft looking lips.

For some reason, he wanted to connect his lips with hers. Was it the same thing as 'hugging' and 'hand holding'? He yearned to find out.

He put his hand under her chin and lifted her face up to come into his view.

Just one.

Let him try this once.

He leaned down slowly, his lips brushing against hers softly as he closed his eyes.

Everything around him vanished. His problems, the pain his body, and the worry of not being able to escape went away.

He needed more.

Deepening the 'lip connecting', he simply ignored the lack of oxygen he was getting and enjoyed every second of it.

He craved for more.

His hand went under her shirt, rubbing her bare back with ease.

More.

His fingers felt something on her upper back. It felt like it was clipped together. He was tempted to remove the thing.

His movements were seized entirely the second two pair of hands touched on his chest, using him to push themselves off.

His eyes shot open. He was completely mortified to see Agent 3 laying on the ground, tears prickling at the corner of their eyes, their hand holding their neck as they coughed heavily attempting to regain some air in their lungs.

"Are you okay?!" He got up from his seat and knelt down beside her to help, but she shot him the dirtiest glare he has ever seen, causing him to freeze.

She sat up on her own.

"W-What were you doing...." She paused, taking in deep breaths. "Why were you kissing me...?"

Oh?

"Kissing?" He tilted his head in confusion cutely. "Is that what it's called?"

She was shaking, both of her hands clenched. He concluded she wanted to lunge at him, to probably kill him.

For some reason, guilt never entered his system. He was fine, but he put on a apologetic act for her. "I'm sorry. I saw some other creatures do it." He lied.

It failed to change anything.

"Why was your hand under my shirt? Why were you touching me? Why were you about to unclip–" She stopped, then she continued. "Forget the last one. Answer me!"

She was mad. Really mad. He'd never thought he would be the one to cause this much distress to her.

That's when he began to feel guilty. "I-I-I can explai–"

She whirled her head around to see Captain walking towards them. "Shut it!" She hissed, facing the octopus again.

Cuttlefish placed a hand on her head, patting her soothingly. "Did you have a nightmare?" He asked. "Good thing Agent 8 is here to comfort you."

She scowled, quickly replacing it with a bright smile. "Yeah. Sorry to worry you, Captain."

She wasn't going to tell him what happened? Wasn't this her chance to abandon the octoling by saying he did something that was apparently 'bad' to her?

He was puzzled.

"Holy mackerel! Your tentacles, Agent 3!" The squid used his cane in his other hand to point at the tips of her hair, which were lime green mixed with blue.

"Huh?" Her fingers wrapped around the odd colors, examining it closely. She was in shock, to say the least. She couldn't say anything.

How did he not see that? Was he really that occupied with capturing her lips with a kiss?

He cursed under his breath. Her health comes first, not his desires. At most, the desires are second.

"Is she going to be alright, Captain?" The boy asked, avoiding the girl's hateful gaze.

The advisor ended the head patting, now using his hand to scratch the back of his neck, doubt coating his face entirely. "I'm not sure..." He admitted.

She gasped.

"I'll be fine. It's probably just temporary!" The young squid waved her hands as if to dismiss the topic. "Since I'm awake, we should probably get back to the tests."

The octoling narrowed his eyes, analyzing her figure. Tired. Scared. Angry.

She was putting aside what he did to her. It's as if it never occurred.

He's expecting to get yelled at later.

His thoughts were interrupted as Agent 3 grabbed his hand, pulling him up to stand on his feet. "We have to do those tests so we can leave. Let's pick up from where you left off."

He agreed, letting her choose the next test for them to do. He received praise for how much he had completed on his own, though he knew deep down she was just saying that for her Captain.

"Shouldn't we do this one next?" She asked, pointing to one of the lines that had no Thangs. Then again, none of them seemed to have one at all. It was as if it were teasing the Agents.

"Sure." He replied, confirming on the device they wanted to do the line. "Unfortunately, I've been having trouble on it."

"Really?" She questioned bitterly. "Hitting balloons with a bamboozler isn't that hard."

He kept his mouth shut.

"B-But I can teach you!" She beamed.

Cuttlefish was still next to them.

"That'd be nice."

....

Silence.

"Agent 3." The old inkling got their attention, mostly [Name]'s. "How about you work alone this time?"

She chuckled nervously. "Is there something wrong with us working together?"

Agent 8 could already tell she was listing everything wrong in her head.

"Agent 8 has been going at it since you've been asleep. Maybe he should sit this one out and rest." Cuttlefish stated.

The octoling didn't know what was going on with the adorable inkling, but she was obviously nervous beyond relief

"My tentacles made me a little weak." She remarked. "I could use Agent 8's assistance to–"

"We both know you are capable of handling stuff by yourself no matter what the circumstances may be." The mentor cut her off. "You'll be fine."

She sighed in defeat.

"Captain, if I may–"

"Here's your stop. Get out there and get em Agent 3!" The squid cut the boy off too.

She dragged her feet off the train, looking back one last time before grabbing her weapon and super jumping to the destination.

....

"Now, Agent 8, can we speak for a little bit?"
