Expect The Unexpected

Chapter 16

"Okay, well, let's head over there!" She closes the magazine and grabs her phone.

Jess's POV:

My parents arrived and Alex is taking me up to the hospital right now.

He parks in the ER parking lot and we go up to the Labor and Delivery floor. We go up to the desk and a perky woman looks at us and smiles.

"Hi! How can I help you?"

"Hi. I'm Jessica Jacobs and I'm in labor with twins. My water just broke about a half hour ago." I bend over from a contraction afterwards.

"Okay, I'll show you to a room."

We follow her to an empty room and I lay in the bed as some other nurses come and connect me to some machines.

After everything is settled, the contractions start.

"Agh!" I grunt.

"Everything is fine, hun." Alex rubs my belly.

"I know. It's just painful."

Alex's POV:

I hear my phone beep and I look at it. I open the lock screen and see something I put in my calendar.

Doctor appointment: ‪12:30 pm‬

"Oh crap. Jess, I have an appointment with the doctor soon. I need to go, but I'll be back, okay? Stay strong, baby. Call my parents if you need anything." I kiss her forehead.

I leave the room and head to the elevator. I get on and hit the button for the 4th floor. I arrive on the floor and get off.

I go sign in and sit down. I stare at the floor and wait for the doctor.

"Alexander Jacobs?" A nurse calls out after 30 minutes.

I get up and walk over to her and she has me sit in a chair. She checks my temperature, blood pressure, and pulse.

After that, I'm led to a room. I sit on the bed and just text Jess while I wait for the doctor.

My Baby Girl 😍💕: Just had a massive contraction... could've used you then.

Me: I know. I can't control my doctors' appointments.

My Baby Girl 😍💕: Just let me know what the doctor says, okay?

Me: Okay, babe. I will.

Just as I send that text, the doctor walks in.

"Hey, Alex. How are you feeling?"

"My wife is in labor, so we gotta be as quick as possible."

"Well, I have to do some exams on you to make sure you're in good health. I have to do a prostate exam, a blood test, and check your arm." He grabs a glove off the wall.

I gulp as he pulls the glove on. Then he puts some gel on his finger.

"What are you doing?" I ask nervously.

"I have to do a rectal exam to check your prostate. I need you to pull your pants down and bend over."

I gulp nervously and do as he says. I get off the bed and take my pants to my knees, bending over shortly afterwards.

I feel something poke through my asshole, causing me to go red in the face. He moves his finger inside me and wiggles it up and down in one spot.

"Your prostate is normal. You can put your pants back on."
