"Alex? What's wrong, hun?" I'm really worried.
I find him sitting on the floor holding a brand new razor.
"A-Alex...?" I start freaking out.
"We're stopping after these two, right?" He has tears falling down his face.
"Of course, Alex." I sit on top of the toilet.
I take his chin in my hand and hold his free hand.
"We're in this together, babe. My parents and your parents moved out to California to be with us and so that we can have people we trust to take care of the kids. Don't think that you're alone in this because you're not. Now tell me what's wrong."
He takes a deep breath and looks at me with puffy red eyes.
"I feel like having more kids right now is too much on us. The kids are barely 6 and 3, Jess. And they're a handful and more to begin with. Our daily routine revolves around them. I have my job, you're stuck at home all day. And how are you gonna take care of 4 kids all by yourself when I'm at work and no one is able to help? Huh?" His voice is shaky.
I look at him just break down into tears myself.
Alex's POV:
My eyes widen at the mistake I just made.
I just sit there and silently cry. I hear a door creak but I don't pay attention to it.
"Mommy? Daddy?" I hear Allyssa say.
I look over and see my baby girl looking all confused.
I motion for her to come over to me and she trots over in her little red Falling In Reverse onesie.
"What's wrong, Daddy?"
"Mommy and Daddy were just talking, sweetie." Jess looks at our daughter.
"Are you gonna break up?" I hear AJ ask.
I look over at the door and widen my eyes at the sentence I just heard.
"No, AJ. Mommy and Daddy are just having a hard time right now. We brought this on ourselves."
"When da babies gonna be here?" Allyssa smiles.
"Soon, sweetie." I ruffle her curly bed head.
Jess's POV:
As I look at the cute moment between Alex and Allyssa, I start to feel a jab in my lower abdomen.
"Ugh!" I grunt out.
"Jess? What's wrong?" Alex snaps his neck in my direction.
I stand up and we all hear a splashing sound.
"Alex, I think my water just broke..." I mumble loud enough for only him to hear.
"Crap. Um, I'll call your parents real quick." He grabs his phone and searches through it.
Ryan's POV:
I hear my phone ring and see its Alex calling. He never calls me unless it's important.
"Hello?"
"Hey, Jess's water just broke and I need someone to take care of the kids. Can you and Helen do it?"
"Of course!" I say with enthusiasm in my voice.
"Okay, thanks a lot. I'm gonna help Jess get some clothes together and we'll see you soon!"
We hang up and I go in the kitchen and see Helen looking through a magazine and eating grapes.
"Hey, Helen? Alex just called and told me that Jess's water just broke so they need us to come watch the kids."
