As the pale face of the moon shined out onto the floors of the silent woods, sounds of panting disturb the serene scene.
Running as fast as he could, a male specimen at the peak of his age runs from an unknown enemy. There was a strong scent of fear surrounding the air around him. Little did he know that whatever he was about to do, will cause him a great deal of pain. He took a chance to sneak a peek behind him for the creature. He did not see the edge of a root, piercing through the grounds, and tripped.
Tumbling forward, in a painfully, gruesome fashion, he fell into a deep underground cave. A loud, revolting crack echoed throughout the cave and a scream of pain pierced through the stillness of the air. Then there was silence----a long eerie silence.

"Send a search team out to his last known location and get me all his info." Xavier strolled toward the coffee machine located at the corner of the station and poured himself a tankard of hot coffee, strong and black.
He knew he'll need it considering the lack of sleep he has been getting lately. He just needed to solve this case and the other two before it before another body shows up.
"Copy that. His file is already on your desk." Christian said as he turned around to call the team out and finish the mountain of paperwork on his desk. Xavier sighed and walked to his office in long strides and sat down in his chair. Setting down the already lukewarm coffee, he opened the file and began reading.
