God she loved that kid.
And cracks a joke at the perfect time
Makes me laugh when I wanna cry
That boy is everything to me
He gets that from you
Yeah, he gets that from you
"PJ party!"
Jennie couldn't hold back a giggle as Curtis slid into the kitchen wearing his favorite onesie, the woman catching him before he could collide with the counter as he stared up at her with his bright brown eyes.
"Well, you look cute," Jennie mused as she lifted the hood of the onesie onto his head, the boy squeaking as he reached up to pull it back down. "What, you don't want to be a fox? Isn't that why you wanted me to buy you this thing?"
"I'm only allowed to be a fox when I'm at Auntie Chaeyoung, mommy." Curtis reminded her with a roll of his eyes before nuzzled his face into her stomach and squeezed his arms around her waist. "Can I have a cookie?"
"Oh, I get it, that's why I'm getting all these snuggles," Jennie smirked as she returned the little boy's hugs before drawing away from him. "You don't love my snuggles, you just know that I hold the key to the cookie jar."
"Nuh uh. I love your hugs." Curtis protested as he squeezed his mother tighter, his eyes squeezing shut as he focused his attention on making sure to pour the proof into the hug he gave. "I love your hugs, mommy. I do. They're the best."
"That's what they all say." Jennie teased as she returned the hug before Curtis pulled away to scurry around the island of the kitchen, the brunette turning to reach into the cabinet. "Do you want oatmeal or chocolate chip?"
"Chocolate chip!"
Jennie frowned at the sound of Curtis' distant voice before she grabbed the jar and turned to see that her son had vanished, the woman furrowing her brow as she listened to the sound of high pitched growls filling the air.
"What are you doing?" Jennie demanded with a soft laugh.
"I'm the cookie monster!" Curtis growled as he popped up from the counter, his hood pulled over his head as he wiggled his fingers at his mother. "Give me cookie, mommy. Give me cookie or face me wrath."
"Face me wrath?" Jennie repeated with a lift of her eyebrow. "Are you British?"
"Mommy, no!" Curtis whined as he stomped his foot and peeked from under his hood, his face twisting into the scariest expression he could make. "I'm a cookie monster and I'm here to steal all the cookies."
"All the cookies?" Jennie gasped as she reached out to grab the cookie jar, pressing it to her chest. "But these cookies are for my son, little monster. If I give them to you then what is Curtis going to eat?"
"Carrots and green stuff." The little boy replied as he moved closer to Jennie with his arms extended, his tiny fingers wiggling in her direction as he released playful growls. "Give me all the cookies or I'll tickle you."
"I don't think so." Jennie frowned, narrowing her eyes. "These are Curtis' cookies."
"Curtis is sharing with me." Curtis snapped as he lifted his head to stare from beneath his hood, a crooked smile appearing on his face as he watched Jennie narrow her eyes. "Give me the cookies, Mommy."
"Mm, nope," Jennie said with a shake of her head.
"How about now?" Curtis asked as he reached up to yank his hood off, his bright eyes sparkling as he pouted his lower lip and cupped his hands together. "Can I have my cookie now, Mommy? I'm Curtis again."
