"lisa?"
jennie knocked on lisa's bedroom door and slowly pushed it open. lisa was laying on her side with her duvet pulled tightly up to her chin, just staring into the darkness.
lisa turned her head, finding jennie standing just before her bed. "why are you still up?"
it's two in the midnight and everyone else was sound asleep and had been since they got in the dorm from their dance rehearsals for their new song; as if it's your last, but lisa found herself unable to stop thinking long enough to fall into the awaited slumber.
"i can't sleep," jennie climbed into the younger girl's bed and laid beside her, covering herself with the duvet as well. "are you thinking?"
lisa smiled to herself. "mhm."
there was another comfortable silence. lisa's mind kept reeling about all the wonderful memories she had since they debuted, reminiscing every moment of happiness, trying to capture the pure ecstatic feeling of hearing the roar of the crowd when they perform, thinking what more when they have their own concert years from now. she was beyond happy, reaching this far after leaving her own country at a very young age and training for years stood out so much in her mind. she's dreamt of this.
across the small space between them was jennie reminiscing the same things. she reached under the pillow and took her phone out before turning it on to review some pictures. with the dim screen light illuminating them, she had a perfect view of lisa, who was facing her with her eyes trained to the brunette's.
jennie scrolled past several pictures, there was one she liked a lot; a selfie with lisa where they were looking at each other instead of the camera and laughing at something jisoo had said. the picture was taken by chaeyoung at just the right time, jennie's nose was scrunched cutely in laughter and lisa's eyes were lit up with bliss. she hadn't dared to put it on her ch+ account but there was something about it that made her inexplicably happy.
jennie saved it in her favorites and lisa smiled at the action. she scrolled past more pictures and kept saving their selfies in her own album of the two of them.
"jennie?"
"hmm?" jennie shut her phone off and turned to lisa, darkness engulfing the room again.
"i can't sleep." lisa scooter closer to the older girl. they were both only wearing shorts, so their skin kept brushing against each other's. although her bed was wide enough to keep space between them, there was no way for the two to not be in contact.
"want to play a game?"
lisa chuckled at the question. "what game are we playing at this time of the day?"
"i don't know," jennie chewed on her bottom lip. "how 'bout ask each other questions?"
the younger girl shook her head. "i already know everything about you."
jennie smiled before moving even closer to lisa as if it was still possible, both of them were startled when their noses touched. "sorry," she mumbled, unable to see because of the darkness. she moved lower so her head was now beneath lisa's chin.
"s'okay," lisa whispered. "i don't want any of these to stop." she admitted.
"which?" jennie could swear she could hear lisa's peaceful heartbeat.
"all of it. our career. blackpink. performing in front of people." lisa felt jennie shiver so she wrapped her arm around the petite girl, pulling the duvet even tighter around them. "you're cold."
jennie lightly nodded, also wrapping her arm around lisa's slim waist. "i want the four of us to be together for a long time. i wanna be able to show the world who we are, why we trained for years. i wanna achieve my dreams and goals in life, and prove them wrong; people who doubted me."
