Chapter 1: April Injured

Donatello of the four was awake that night. He was holding some kind of dynamo in his hand, engineering it by looking on a book on his table. Around him was massive computer stuff being turned on with green screen and some views of CCTV. He was humming lowly with the classic music coming from the radio on kitchen table few metres before him.

Suddenly the melody from the radio stopped as someone turned it off. Donatello lifted his head and saw Leonardo walking to sit on the kitchen table.

"You're awake, Leo?" Donnie said.

"Yeah, I cant sleep," Leo sat down with frowned forehead. "Its very unusual for me to not be able to sleep like this."

"Probably you should train more, then," Donnie lowered his body to see the thing he was working on clearer. "Youre in the middle of finding a job, right. Don't worry, after you come back to your normal state of being a tough brother making lives for all of us, things like this wouldnt be any problem anymore."

"Yeah," Leo answered, "It shouldnt be that hard to find one, probably in some days."

"Or we can just make our own jobs from right here," Donnie said, indicating himself.

"That could work too," Leo took a glass of his on the table that he left after the dinner, and poured from water pot on the center. "Where's Raph? Did he go missing again?"

"He hadnt come back since afternoon, Leo," Donnie lifted his abstract strange dynamo. "I'm done with this one! Time to go with another."

Leo drank from his glass, thinking about things when all of a sudden a hard bump was heard from the entrance, next thing was Raphael coming in hobbled pace while holding his shoulder.

"Damn!" he said, "Leo, its an emergency!"

"What is it?" Leo stood up.

"Oh my," Donnie put off his dynamo and strange glasses to approach Raph, "Raph, youre bleeding, man!"

Raph sure was bleeding--his shoulder let out flowing blood. It wasnt that severe, but still it was something.

"This is nothing for now," said Raph.

"Hold here, I'll get some first aid stuff," Donnie said, careless to Raph's saying. He then went off while Leo stood in front of Raph.

"What happened, Raph?" he asked seriously. It was of course a seldom thing for any four of them to get injured.

"Thats why I said this doesnt matter for now," Raph said in short breathes while looking at Leo right in his eyes. "April got fainted!"

"What?" Leo stunned.

"Casey is now taking her to the hospital. She got severely injured, like severely, her stomach got stabbed by a throwing blade. We should get to them immediately!"

Donnie came back with his first aid box, "Is that real?" he said, "Then we might as well just go now, Leo?"

Leo was digesting everything, and after that said, "Let's go."

"What about Mikey?" asked Donnie.

"Let him sleep for now," Leo hurried exiting the entrance, followed by Donatello who dropped the first aid. Raph, ignoring his minor pain, followed them as they started to jump over from buildings to buildings. Leo told Raph to lead the way to Casey and April, as Raph informed them she was stabbed on the rooftop of a building. As Raph ran as fast as he could, they saw Casey and April being fainted, on top of a building.

Casey was holding his phone while the three brothers arrived.

"Casey!" Leo called him.

"You guys!" Casey turned his back and lowered his phone. "These ambulance hospital things sure take time to get here!"

"Where is Mikey's car? Take her with that." said Leo, who knew Raph was borrowing it in the afternoon.

"Ah, it got stolen," Casey answered.

"We dont have time for that," Leo sighed at Casey's sayings.

Donnie was holding her while kneeling, examining her stabbed part. "She got badly injured. This is so bad. We should take him to the hospital as soon as possible." He looked at Leo who was looking at April. "Or she wont make it."

"And how do you do that?" said Casey.

"Raph, Donnie, get ready for a night journey," Leo stood up from kneeling. Raph hold off his injury to indicate his readiness.

Later after, Leo, Donnie, and Raph took turn bringing April steadily from rooftop to rooftop. While one was bringing April, the other two ran and jumped as fast as they could to another building so when the one got there, one of the two could take turn bringing her, while the one from the first ran as fast as they could and pass the other from the two. It was rather a very fast practice. Casey was running with them, only he wasnt taking April as well in stake that he would slow his pace if he brought April through the run.

As they got near the hospital, Donnie gave April to Leo, who then slid down the iron poll of the hospital's backyard. Casey was already down there, so when Leo got to the ground, he gave April to Casey, who then ran her to the hospital's emergency room. Leo, Raph, and Donnie each breath shortly on the empty asphalt of parking lot.

Donnie lowered his body and sat down. "That was rather a journey."

"Raph," called Leo who turned his head to him. "What exactly happened? How did she get fainted like that?"

"We were attacked," Raph bowed down a bit, feeling furious. "In initial time of the night, we were going to order pizza. April said she had a coupon of free pizza, but it was vanished when she was going to take it. She said she remembered she took it off to read it on the museum parking lot, so we got there to see in case she really did drop it. As we got to the museum, it was clear that someone was inside, man, cause the gate and entrance was opened, while the officer was fainted. We got inside and there it was, a bunch of people. Probably like five, and they were all strong. As I and Casey fought four of them who tried to attack us, April chased one of them who ran away, then after four others got defeated, we tried to find April, in which then we found her fighting on top of that buildings roof. We joined her fighting that guy, and April ended up got stabbed. As I rushed to the museum to get Mikey's car to bring April to the hospital, it was already vanished along with people I and Casey beat."

"And the guy you three were fighting?" asked Leo.

"He got away."

Donnie sighed.

"It was very weird," Raph frowned his brows. "We were three persons and he was only one guy, but it was so hard to defeat him. We spent long times trying to knock him out."

"Well how did he look like?" asked Donnie.

"With thorough rob and mask."

"Then he probably isnt human," said Donnie.

"He had a posture like human," said Raph, "he didnt seem gigantic or anything, he was just.. he was not even taller than me."

"Hm hm," Donnie stood up. "As long as he was covered, we cant be too sure, right?"

"We need to go home to take care of Raph's injury," said Leo. "Days after we might be able to come back, but for now we cant visit April. We can only depend on Casey now."

"Youre right, Leo," said Donnie.

"I hope they handle her well," said Raph, as Leo started to hop on a cars roof, followed by his two brothers. To the near wall, to the roof, and eventually, jumped and ran like ninjas all the way to home.[]
