2: Voices

ELLE'S POV:

Me & Preston arrived at Grandma's relaxed and hungry as always. In the kitchen, we dug into the cupboards for some munchies before we watch TV in the living room. We grabbed a box of Cookie Crisp, a bag of Lays potato chips, some rolls of Smarties, and some cups of Apple Raspberry juice, our favorite. I also lastly grabbed a bag of Doritos. Then I heard a voice in my head as clear as day.

Doritos!

What the?

It was hard to ignore a crystal clear voice in my head like that, I was surprised Preston didn't hear it. We sat on the black couches as I turned on Nickelodeon on the flat-screen. Henry Danger was on at that time & who chowed down on our munchies, sometimes we fight over them just for craps and giggles but mostly we share them. During the show, I kept hearing little voices in my head, this hasn't happened in a while in my life & I tried to keep it together by holding my head.

Preston: What r u doing?

Me: Oh nothin just....maybe the juice is getting me drunk, who knows.

Me & Preston chuckled, we always like to joke each other even if it means giving each other heart attacks it's still hilarious. My head wasn't unstable anymore but I did hear another thing from the clear voice.

Oh My GOSH!

Oh my gosh what? Oh what am I doing?

I really needed to keep this private or Preston will be suspicious. At least he didn't notice that either, holy crap.

After Henry Danger was over for the day, it turned to Friends & since Preston doesn't like that show, he decided to go to bed & grabbed a patterned blanket. Me, on the other hand, loves Friends, I watched it ever since I was inside my mom's belly [true story] nevertheless I had to grab my comfy light-gray blanket too. We slept on the couch turning them into recliners as always & Grandma & Grandpa said goodnight to us & shut off the remaining lights. We were both nocturnal people so we stood up for a couple minutes, when I mean minutes, I mean hours. Preston usually sleeps before me & he did tonight.

Yes, still up!

To be honest, I was usually jealous of Preston for doing things first but this time it's me & I'm glad about it. The TV was still going in low volume, a couple minutes passed and I'm still awake. The voice in my head comes clear yet again.

Go to bed, I can't wait to see you.

After that, I heard cackling in my head, bouncing, echoing, quiet yet sinister. I thought ghosts have snuck in the house so I quickly covered my face with the blanket and forced myself to fall asleep. It took me a while as usual but I was finally after a couple of minutes into a deep sleep.....and from the looks of it....about to dream something.

I wonder what it is this time.
