1: Travels

Me: Hey, Preston. U know about Gravity Falls more than me, who is that?

Preston: That's Bill, I forgot his last name but...I don't really trust him. Well, at least he's just a statue now.

I never seen anything like him, he looked harmless....& helpless kinda. Why doesn't he trust him?

Preston: Let's get back home, ok? I c ya there.

Off he went, he zoomed through the woods so fast, the trees were leaning it for a millisecond. I was about to levitate a couple inches off the ground until I heard.... faint whispers in my head.

This is creepy! What r they saying? What do they want?

The whispers gradually turned more louder & more understandable for me to hear them. But...it's like...I understand them & don't at the same time....if that makes since.

I turned back around seeing the statue again.

The whispers sounded like quiet screaming like it's been tortured. I took some baby steps towards the statue, the voices were a little louder. Taking some more steps until the space between us was about 2 feet & the whispers were more clearer & faster than before. It was ringing inside my mind while I was starting to realize were the voice was coming from.

It's the statue! It's Bill! He's asking me to help. I wanna help! That's what coders do, we save lives until the day we die. I gotta help him!

His hand is still stuck out obviously.

Maybe if I shake his hand he.....
He might be set free.
That's it!

So I did just that. I stuck out my hand & held is stuck out stone hand.

Is it just me or is he starting to glow?

He is starting to glow!

It's working!

The Bill statue's hand was covered with light blue light. The statue itself was starting to crack, within those cracks were bright yellow light. The ground started rumbling of anticipation, & the sun was half-way below the Earth by now. The sky was about as yellow as the cracks. Wind whooshed around me & the statue with much excitement, picking up dust & a couple leaves. The bright yellow cracks were growing, growing, growing on the statue while the winds kept whooshing, whooshing, whooshing! Until the final crack.....

It exploded...

...with darkness ironically.

The winds calmed down while the leaves settled back on the ground, the sky was getting darker & more cool colored. Blinking my eyes with uncontrollable blurriness, wonderment & confusion, I tried to make myself stable. When my vision cleared...

...the statue was completely gone...

...no stone pieces to be found on the woods floor.

Suddenly, Preston zoomed back to me in a flash.

Preston: Elle? What happened?

Me: I....uh.....

Preston: Where's the statue?

I never want to lie but...I can't tell him fully what happened either.

Me: He disappeared & I don't know where he went.

Preston: Well, at least he's gone. R u ready to go home now?

Me: Yep.

Now we finally zoomed in the air on our way home (the state with more than 10,000 lakes). It was always great to feel the rushing fresh air & clouds blow through your face. It's one of my favorite parts of adventures besides kicking butts & saving lives, I don't know why. Anyways it was just 4 seconds & we were so close to home. Since Preston might try to read my mind, I tried to forget that statue incident. I wanted to know what happened there but I'll keep that private from nearly everyone. I'm born a secret keeper & at least I didn't hear anymore voices...

...so far.
