“Ma, diba sinabi ko ayoko ng magarbong birthday party.” Inis na sabi ko sa Mama ko. Gusto nya kasi mag karoon ako ng 18 roses at dance, pero ayoko. Yun nga lang kahit ipilit ko na ayoko, gagawin nya parin at mag peprepare parin sya.

Masyado na kasing makaluma ang ganung event. Pero dati nung bata pa ako gusting gusto ko mag karoon ng ganun sa 18th birthday ko, dahil sa mga napapanood ko sa tv. Pero ngayon masyado nang outdated.

“Basta mag kakaroon ka ng party at ako ang bahala sa lahat. I want my only daughter to experience everything.” Pilit nya. Napa buntong hininga nalang ako. She’s doing this for me and I’m always thanking God for giving me such wonderful life, kahit wala na ang Papa ko.

“Bahala ka. Hindi ako mag i-invite.” Sabi ko naman.

“Edi ako mag i-invite, problem ba yun?” Naka ngising sabi ni Mama. Talaga tong nanay ko, basta ginusto nya, makukuha nya.

“Fine. Fine. Ako na mag i-invite. Baka kung sino pa mai-invite mo.” Pag suko ko, wala naman akong magagawa kahit anong sabihin nya. Kinuha ko ang cellphone ko mula sa center table ng sala at pumunta sa kwarto ko.

 Humiga ako at nag send ng message kay Kat.

I have a bad feeling about this. Pag si Kat nag paplano at ang Mama ko. Nag i-iba ang ihip ng hangin nagiging bagyo.
