Red vs Blue: Ghost of the Past (S1)

Prologue.

UNSC base, unknown location
09.58 local time.

In a dark room there sits a lone figure wearing a black and red suit of armor waiting for his mission briefing to begin. It looks at the clock and sees it nearing 09.00. As it does the room lights up multiple screens appearing around the figure.

"Shadow 3, Noble 7, Agent Finland." A voice is heard trough the speakers earning no reaction from the figure.

"Special-black-ops. Infiltration, assassination, sabotage, deception, and Intel gathering and destruction... Rank Hyper Lethal." The voice continues as the figure does not react.

"First appearance the Fall of Reach. You fought with your team the shadow squad in defense of said planet. You fought along side Noble team as an extension of said team. Shadow 1 squad leader: KIA, Shadow 2 teams tech support and pilot: died on the escape ship cause of death: battle wounds, Shadow 4 team sniper and infiltrator: KIA. Noble 1-5: MIA, Noble 6 status: classified." The voice listed the names of fallen heroes of Reach causing the figure to clench its fist as it hears the names of his deceased comrades.

"Last assignment: Infiltrate UNSC splinter group Project freelancer, see if they still have humanity's best in mind if not shut them down from the inside. Mission status: Success." The voice continued as the figure stayed silent.

"You have been busy. You and your AI. During your time with freelancer you built strong relations to few agents. Same agents you later inspired to rebel. You used these agents to reach your ultimate goal: destruction of project freelancer." The voice continued if it could see under the figures helmet it could see that the figure was shaking with grief and rage.

"Since then you have refused to give us the location of said agents, leading us to reconsider your status... However we understand why. You and the agents were kept in the dark and formed strong bonds. You have lost your team twice now we understand that you don't want it happening again." the voice said as the figure relaxed.

"However your work is not done. The director of project freelancer and some of his lackeys survived. We are unable to do anything about them because of the war but You. It is time to finish what you started." The voice continued as the figure looked up.

"Yes sir. Where should I start?" The figure said.

Instead of answering the man behind the voice where ever he was opened a audio file on one of the screens.

"Hey its Tex I found the Alpha meet me at these coordinates." The feminine voice of the recording said.

"We picked this up on you old personal channel You can start by meeting your old partner agent Texas of Freelancer and see what she has to say." The voice said after the man behind it put the audio file away.

"Yes sir!" The figure said as he stood up.

"Welcome back agent Finland, and good luck." The voice finished.

"Thanks I wont need it Agent Finland responded as he walked out of the room...

A/N: Wow it took long for me to get this up well writers block is a fun thing. Those who read this be prepared for a update of Remnants Swarm in the following days (or knowing me probably weeks (Added later or months apparently well I'll get back to it soon/eventually now that school is over)) because I have the next chapter about halfway done.
