Open Door

The shower turns off and out jumps Teck, a happy go lucky guy. Because it's already 1 in the night of 1946, he is racing to sleep. He has two exams tomorrow so he has to be ready. Also because his younger sister told him to hurry it up. He puts on his shorts, grabs his red towel, and twist opening the bathroom door. “Julie I’m done” Teck yelled. In his rush, he didn't realize that the door was actually a portal. He was teleported into a bullfighting arena.

The crowd gasps in awe at the sudden appearance of a new challenger. Teck is in shock. He is half-naked and scared. Just what is going on and how in the world did he get there. He panics and runs to the boundary to ask the crowd the same questions. Just for them to ignore it and compliment his herculean physique. The crowd starts to cheer for Teck. Boom boom boom! Rapid stompings approach Teck. A towering 7-foot bull zooms pass him, ripping his red towel. Teck was scared to the bone; unable to move, but the bull had its own priorities. They both raced around the arena until Teck saw the exit. The audience boo at him as he speeds to the exit. He twists open the door falling through to the other side.

Poof, Teck appears on a ship. He looks to see that he is surrounded by pirates. The pirates start to close in on him but a voice yells “no one touches him”. A man wearing blindfolds comes up to Teck and smells him. The man was covered from head to toe in leather armor. “Hello, Mr…?” Teck asked “You’ll refer to me as Captian Augen”

He falls onto a field of grass. Loud breathing followed by a big breathe on his back. He becomes afraid. Afraid to ignore the presence but also afraid to look at it. Slowly looking up he spots a humongous silver wolf looming over him. “So you have come chosen one, said the wolf.” Teck while frozen starts dripping with sweat. The wolf then proclaims “fear not chosen one for I am merely a servant to guide you.” Teck gives the wolf a scared yet confused look, which forces the wolf to tell of a prophecy. The prophecy states that Teck will change events in time which will bring back his dead parents. After the prophecy, Teck stands up. No longer scared and full of determination. The wolf bows its head allowing Teck to mount the 13-foot beast. They go off into a thick and dark forest. On the other side lays a graveyard. The moon seems to shine to one grave with a door on it. Teck goes to the door and twists the knob open. He waves the wolf goodbye and jumps into the open grave.

    Teck goes through different places throughout the past and changed them. He stopped the Battle of Lexington and Concord, the birth of Michelangelo, and the Civil War, but failed to stop the bombing of Pearl Harbor. All his actions brought him to Japan in 1945. Due to the changes in the timeline and the failure to stop Pearl Harbor; America sent 6 bombs to 6 different cities. Teck, now in a kimono (traditional Japanese robes) was in the middle of it and saw the bombs being dropped. He runs to the nearest door, slides it open and going inside of the building. He is baffled by a lack of teleportation. He runs through the door again and he ends up on the outside. ”What to do,” Teck thinks “maybe it's the door or something or is this the end.” Teck doesn't give up and tries all the sliding doors. In the end, none of them works. A bomb hits and the shock wave hits him. Not knowing what else to do he runs to the bathroom. He grabs the doorknob and twists it open. As he enters his back got seared.

Out of the bathroom, he comes. He realizes that he’s back home with his sister. With tears in his eyes, he yells “YES!” He runs into the living room with his hand out to embrace his only family. Only to see, a bloody mess, both his new zombie parents eating his sister’s intestines. Teck’s parents turn over to him. Their rotten teeth line into a horrifying grin with their soulless white eyes.
