Scarlett was standing alone, hugging herself. Tears streaming down her cheeks.

--Flashback: Scarlett's 9th Birthday--

Happy Birthday to you! Happy Birthday to you! Happy Birthday dear Scarlett! Happy Birthday to you!

Scarlett's parents and closest friends gathered around her. All were happy to celebrate her 9th Birthday.

Her parents came to her and gave her a kiss in both her cheeks. She was their precious daugther, the only child they had. One they loved unconditionally.

Make a wish and blow the candle, princess!

She looked around her. She stared at the smiling faces of the people around her, especially her parents. There was nothing else she could wish for but to keep their family happy and together forever and ever and ever!

Scarlett closed her eyes and wished just that: long-lasting happiness for her family.

Everyone cheered as she blew her nine candles. She tried to blow her candles as fast as she could. Because as soon as the candles were blown, she knew her most favorite part of her birthday celebration comes next.

My little princess, may I have this dance? Her fathered asked her and offered his hand.

Sweet music filled the air.

As tradition for the family goes, there was always a father and daughter dance. This was her special time with her dad.

Why, certainly. She replied with a beaming smile, and trying to conceal her excitement.

Her father held both her hands as he helped her put both her feet on top of his. They slowly danced to the music. Enjoying their special time, their dance together. To her it was just the perfect moment...

--End of Flashback--

That was four years ago. Scarlett was now 13.

She tried to re-live that moment with her father.

With tears still streaming down her cheek, she closed her eyes.

She raised her left arm as if it rested on her dad's shoulder. Her right arm positioned as if she was holding his hand. Right there she started to dance on her own: swaying and turning, imagining she was doing it with her dad.

A gentle breeze swept around her.

How she missed him...

Out of nowhere, someone's hand encircled her waist and gently held her right hand.

She opened her eyes. Enzo...

You know you can't dance on your own...it takes two. He said sweetly.
