"Hey do you have a pen or pencil?" That's how it starts, that's how the journey begins.

"Sure!" says the student just trying to be nice. Little do they know that they are the beginner of the journey.

Pens and pencils are quite useful, they are a pathway of creativity from your brain to the paper.

There are about 14,000,000,000 pencils made a year (around 38,356,164 made a day) And around 150,000,000,000 pens are made a year (4 billion a day). I mean, just think about that. Just really think about that. And I'm not even going to get into how many trees or plastic and ink that is...

Its kind of weird when you think of it that way.

But these ordinary, everyday writing utensils only have as much power as you give them. If you leave a pen or pencil to sit on a table and never pick it up, it has no power. But once you connect it to a piece of paper, its like you just plugged in a chord into an outlet.

Something of potential power is now in use and it can be used for good... or for bad...
