crashing down to see the rare event
not once in a blue moon.
when you smile sparks fly
energized from the soft grin
that's crossed your face.
when you smile hearts drop
thump thump 'a thumping
to watch as well as it can.
when you smile books close
sealed shut as that no words could leave
their pages at the shock of the beauty.
when you smile tides lower
as to not ruin the tranquility
or the purity of that smile.
when you smile i seem to forget
the worlds troubles or the blank night sky
smitten in the way your lips curve up.
when you smile i shock myself
full of energy at the grin that's
found it's way to your face
when you smile i'm lost
within the nefarious yet lovely way
you've dropped my heart.
when you smile i close my book
the pages blank in my memory
as you are the only one on my mind.

far from the surface
