(Lance POV)

"It doesn't matter what I do," I yelled, "Or if I didn't do anything at all! You still blame me!"

The other paladins looked at him wearily, and brushed off what I had said as if it wasn't important. I sighed, and waved my hands in a way that said, "Whatever." They wouldn't care if I walked out of the room. My feelings didn't matter anyway.

I walked to my room at a brisk, angry pace. Sometimes I wished that I could slam the door, but well, you know.

"Why is this happening?" I thought angrily, "This time, it wasn't my fault, so what's the deal?"

Little did I know that my so called friends were going to betray me in the worst way I could imagine.

"Paladins!" Shiro shouted, "Report to the bridge immediately. We have a situation."

I bolted awake. Somehow I had fallen asleep, but that didn't matter now. I literally ran to the bridge, but when I had gotten there, they had already started.

"Figures..." I thought as I silently entered.

"Galra fleets have been spotted in a nearby solar system." Allura stated, "They seem to be just staying put, but I have feeling that something bigger is going on. Why would their fleets just sit there doing nothing?"

"Maybe they're protecting something..." I said slowly aloud.

"Thank you so much for answering a rhetorical question, Lance."

"Yeah," Pidge snapped, "No one was actually asking for an answer. Get your head together, Lance. We're so close to beating the Galra. We can't afford someone like you to screw things up."

"Yes..." Shiro started, "That's why you're staying behind this time."

"What?!" I shouted, "What do you mean, 'You're staying behind this time'?"

"I mean exactly that. Did you not hear me or something? Come on Lance! Stop acting so stupid!"

"Oh I'm sorry! Didn't know that I wasn't a part of this team anymore!"

"Well, with the way you're acting, you probably shouldn't be."

I stopped, and turned away. I folded my arms, and looked slightly back toward Shiro. Before I could do anything, Shiro had grabbed me, and had thrown me to the floor. The breath had been knocked out of me, and I was left coughing, and gasping for air. Shiro then pinned me to the floor, and glared down mercilessly.

"Maybe next time," Shiro chastised, "You won't be so disrespectful. Paladins, to your lions. But not you, Lance. How about you go train yourself to be more respectful?"

Then they left, so I stood up, and ran to my room. That was it. I was so tired of being treated like this. What was their deal anyway? I sat on my bed, laid back, and yelled out in frustration. Shiro had gotten physical with me before, but he hadn't been as angry. I mean, yes, I was angry too, but I wouldn't get that way with him. He'd been through too much lately. Apparently it was all my fault too.

I curled up into a ball on my bed. It wasn't fair. Nothing I did would do any good. Even Hunk was starting to drift farther away from me. What was the point of staying around if I wasn't even welcome?

After about a few moments of debating, and internal fights with myself, I decided to leave. I was sick and tired of being treated like I was nothing to the ream. It had started when we found Shiro again, and had gone on ever since. I was done.
