Midnight'kit could only hear screaming and yowls of what sounded like sadness, he tried pressing up again his litter mates for warmth but found their bodies were cold, all of them were cold except one. He pressed into Raven'kit hoping that her warmth would be enough to help him ignore the screaming and yowling taking place outside.
"ShadowClan! I know this is a hard time for all of us but we must stay strong!" Pale'Star yowled from the top of the shade'rock. Midnight'kit couldn't under stand what pale'Star was saying, was it just that Pale'Star lost some territory? Suddenly Midnight'kit was picked up by someone, he squeaked a struggled to get free from the jaws holding him.
"It's okay Midnight'kit, I'm your father." The voice said, the voice sounded nice and soothing to Midnight'kit so right then and there he fell asleep, he fell into a deep warm sleep ignoring everything else around him.
