Everyone at the Karaoke bar could sense something was happening, Grant and Caity sat in the corner, Melissa was holding onto John and Chyler, Nicole was trying her best to eavesdrop by the hallway where Katie C and Matthew had just gone out.
"What's happening?" Caity mouthed to Nicole, who simply shrugged.
"They have to be breaking up, right?" Melissa asked, "They wouldn't be talking this long about nothing"
"Yea" John said.
In the hallway, both Katie and Matt were just staring shocked at one another. "I thought.. woah" Katie said. "I thought I was gonna be the one breaking up with you"
"I thought I was the one breaking up with you" Matt stated, "I thought I was giving away clues with wanting to talk all the time"
"I thought I was giving you clues by not wanting to talk" Katie sighed. "Well at least I don't have to worry about hurting you when I tell why"
"I'm guessing it's the exact reason I'm breaking up with you" Matt nodded.
"Yep" She popped the p.
"Oh my god" Matt chuckled. "We both found someone else"
"I mean, technically not me" Katie said, "He's not exactly waiting for me"
"Who is it?" Matt asked.
"Manu" the blonde sighed.
"Ah..." Matt said, "That's probably why Melissa is in a groupchat called Kanu"
"Kanu? Kanu was the best they could come up with?" Katie chuckled, "I told her shortly before coming here about us drifting apart"
"I only told my parents I would be breaking it off with you" He said.
"Well, at least we're doing it now, and not days before the wedding" Katie sighed.
"Very true" He said, "Well... I hope you and Manu find happiness"
"I hope you and Lucy are very happy together" Katie smiled. "Hey, want to announce my break up with me?"
"Sure!"

After Danielle P and Grant's recreation of Summer Lovin', everyone sat down to hear what Katie and Matt had to say.
"I would love to happily announce, me and Matt are broken up" Katie smiled a little.
"Wait..." John started, "That was a boatload of different emotions there"
"Are you saying you both wanted this break up?" Stephen asked.
"I met someone who showed me a world I didn't know about, and before I started anything with her, I knew I had to break it off with Katie who has.." Matt let Katie finish.
"Also met someone who showed me a world I didn't know about. I sort of been planning the break up since before we left from Vancouver, but he just made it easier on me" Katie shrugged.
"This is the weirdest break up I have ever experienced" Scott said.
"Well, I'm happy if you guys are happy" Melissa spoke up.
"Thank you, Mel" Katie smiled.
"Well, I should probably go, I have a flight tomorrow morning" Matt said, "It was nice knowing all of you, and I hope we meet again. Katie, I hope you find eternal happiness"
"Back at you, Matt" Katie smiled. Matt left and Katie sat down, acting like nothing was different.
Everyone was still shocked and processing it. "Well... Hamilton anyone?"
