"I'd like to show you the new suits in my lab, brother," Shuri grinned, wedging herself between T'Challa and Nakia. Under her breath, she added, "sorry to cock block."

T'Challa coughed loudly as she said this to drown out the end. "Can you wait?"

"Yeah, but what if you go on a mission and die because you were too busy... procreat-"

"Okay, okay, fine. Let's go." Shuri smirked and waved good bye to Nakia as she dragged her brother towards her lab. "I don't believe it's possible to die in my current suit."

Shuri merely tutted in an imitation of their mom.

After a moment, T'Challa said, "Shuri, if mother saw you right now... your posture's awful. Stand up straight."

"I'm not very good at that," Shuri muttered.

"That's not true, usually you don't hunch as much."

So T'Challa was going to act clueless. They walked in silence the rest of the way. In the lab, Shuri's kimoyo beads showed a notification from the list of her favorited people.

Shuri was the hero of a lot a Wakandan children, and now that Wakanda had globalized, kids from all over the world idolized her too. This resulted in a suffocating amount of fan mail, so Shuri made a list of people who's messages were urgent, and she would only get notifications about those people. However, Shuri did make a point to make sure all her fans received replies.

It was MJ.

Shuri smirked and quickly typed back:

Well u r what u eat

T'Challa glanced at Shuri quizzically. "We do not eat panthers here. That is barbaric." Black panther? More like oblivious panther.

"Oh my god, Brother," Shuri sighed. "Just- come with me."

When they reached the lab, T'Challa saw Shuri's newest creation. It had the familiar shape of a black panther suit, except instead of black, it was patterned with blurred stripes going from pink to white to red. "Do you like it?"

"Why did you change the color?"

"For me! I made my own."

"Shuri," T'Challa started in his how-are-you-so-dumb? Voice. "The suit is black as well to assist with stealth. I'm sorry, but in this, you would be visible from across the galaxy."

"No, no, this isn't a black panther suit. You are the black panther. This is... more of a catsuit?"

T'Challa stared at her blankly.

"That's why I said you are what you eat..." Shuri hinted. How are you supposed to come out to a rock? Shuri hadn't accounted for that when she'd came up with the idea.

Finally, T'Challa's eyes went wide. "A PUSSY."

Shuri just sighed and shook her head. "Wow. You should apply for Mensa."

"Shuri, you are fifteen. Isn't that a bit young for, how'd you say it? Procre-"

"BROTHER!"

"Okay, okay, sorry." There was a pause. "I thought you liked the spider child."

Shuri choked. "Peter? What? No! We're friends. That is really weird. No."

"Are you sure? You gave the impression that you enjoyed his presence a lot."

Something in Shuri's head seemed to get a pulse. Are you sure you're not straight? I think I'd know. This was not at all going as she'd expected.

"I'm sorry, that was rude. So you would say you are...?"

"I'm lesbian," Shuri shrugged, reflexively quoting the vine.

"I thought you were Wakandan," T'Challa smiled slowly. The last time he saw Shuri with that big of a grin was the last time she, MJ, and Peter, and Ned had hung out.

"Peter told you to say that, didn't he?" T'Challa nodded, smirking. Shuri smiled even wider. It reminded him of the time she and MJ had gone to laser tag. Oh my god.

"YOU ARE LESBIAN WITH MICHELLE?"

Shuri immediately stopped, and her face turned to the expression format of a deadpan. The corners of her mouth tugged upwards however, and finally she gave in and sank to the ground laughing.

"What?"

"Yes, brother. Just like you are straight with Nakia."

"Oh. Sorry. But am I right?"

Shuri sighed. "I like MJ. Yeah."

"Cool. Want to... hug or something?"

Shuri smiled and wrapped her arms around him. Maybe this hadn't got so badly.
