Trigger Warning: Abuse/Assault

Chapter 21:

Tobin didn't know if her mom was serious and she didn't know why she just couldn't keep her mouth shut. Her anxiety started to rise and she knew she had to get out of that damn restaurant. She was alone, didn't know where Alex was, and her college education was in jeopardy. Walking through campus, she noticed all the happy faces who laughs filled the air. Tobin wanted to go to someone for help but everyone she thought of would probably side with Alex. Eventually, she made it back to her dorm and again it was empty since Amy was always with her boyfriend. She quickly threw off her clothes and slid into bed, crying herself to sleep.

*********

Alex didn't know where she was gonna go. She thought about going back to her dorm but she never knew if Hope was going to be there and she didn't want the senior to see her crying. Tobin hurt her. Relationships are built on the foundation of honesty and truthfulness and Tobin threw that out the window, over something so small. She could have just told her that she wasn't ready to tell her parents about them, she would have understood. Coming out is hard and Alex struggled with it herself when she got to college but Tobin opened her up and got her comfortable with her sexuality. She was a strong, bisexual woman. She was willing to shout that from the rooftops and she used to want to shout her love for Tobin from one also but not anymore.

She eventually found herself on the opposite side of campus. She was unsure of exactly where because she never had to go to this part of campus. It was getting late, only lamps lit up the pathways. Alex saw the number of people out dwindling and she felt even more alone.

"Hey!" She heard behind her and jumped at the sudden noise. "Weird running into you twice in one day."

Alex sighed, knowing exactly who it was, "Servando, what do you want?"

"Nothing, just good game today, I came and watched." Servando smiled, trying to use his charm that Alex a year or two ago would have melt for. Alex continued walking and Servando followed next to her, "Hey, no need for the cold shoulder." She shivered, not because it was cold, but because she was afraid of him.

"Look, I know I wasn't the best to you-"

"Wasn't the best?! You fucking slapped me across the face just because I hugged Sarah after a game." Alex vented with anger in her tone."

Servando shrugged, "Yeah, sorry, but we both know she is a dyke and I didn't want her going after you." The pair had made their way back to the center of campus yet Alex was fuming by just talking with him. "I never meant to hurt you, it was just impulse." His hand reached for Alex's but she pulled back fast.

"Don't touch me."

"Lex, come on. You're hot and that lesbian obviously wanted you so I didn't want you near her." Alex couldn't help but chuckle to herself when he said that because Servando still didn't know the whole story of what happened afterwards.

******flashback to senior year of high school*******

Alex's team had just won their first playoff game and everyone was on a high. It was a great game that ended 2-1. She had scored both goals thanks to her awesome midfielders and her now college coach was in the stands to witness it happen.

"Alex!" A girl called to her as she made her way through the crowd of people, "Hey good game."

"Thanks Sarah, and thanks for coming. It means a lot." Alex smiled wide back, knowing that the junior was into her.

Sarah blushed at the smile Alex gave her, "I mean I always want to support my AP calc partner." The two chatted for a while as everyone cleared out, "I know you're like super busy but I was wondering if you maybe wanna get dinner sometime? Like platonically obviously because you have a boyfriend."
