Moon's POV
What do you mean a da...da...date?" I manage to choke out, he's really interested in me?
"I mean I would love the opportunity to be more than just a friend for you and Tristan, well Moon.. I haven't.. I can't stop thinking about wanting to make you and Tristan happy every single day because the both of you have filled this dark and broken man into a man full of joy and hope.. hopeful for the future because... because I want the opportunity to show you that you deserve the damn universe, to put a smile on a sad day for you, to lean on when you feel that you can't... to spend my weekends watching endless superhero movies with Tristan to teach him how to play basketball or ride bike..and... and I want to go on a date with you... will you give me a chance?" Looking at me with searching eyes
This wonderful man that's been slowly crawling into my heart wants to date me?
"Me?" I look at him questioningly
"Yes you." He says sharply as he reaches for my hand and pulls me closer to him
"What do you say?" Holding me by my waist as he looks into my eyes
My hands wrap around his neck and I smile sweetly at him because he truly makes my heart happy "I'd love to" I finally say as we smile at each other
And almost as if on cue right after the atmosphere is filled with sweet song as Frank Sinatra fills our ears
Dylan and I start swaying back and forth as I keep my arms wrapped around his neck and his embrace tightens around my waist he leans his forehead on mine and our noses softly touch he smiles back at me a smile that reaches his eyes he begins singing to me
"Wait till you're locked in my embrace

The best is yet to come" he places a soft and tender kiss on my nose
"Thank you" I say as he leads me to blanket pillow filled area and we sit next to each other, taking my hand in his he holds his gaze as he gives me his undivided attention "thank you for being there for me when I never had to ask you to, for showing not only me but especially Tristan genuine warmth and endearment." I move closer and place a chaste kiss on his cheek as he begins to smile and tenderly places a hand on my cheek as his thumb slowly caresses me
"It was never something I had to think about Moon, everything just felt so natural and it does still when I'm around you guys, I never have to think about it I just do." He says genuinely as he reaches next to him and grabs two glasses, pours sparkling cider and hands me one.
"Sobriety?" I wink at him as we clink our glasses together
"That's the thing I was so lost before you Moon, I thought I was in love and she broke my heart into a million pieces but I never thought I'd get over the betrayal and the hurt that she caused me but you changed all of that faster than I even ever thought was possible. That's how I know, I know that this is real and this is what I want to continue doing as long as you'll let me, because I can see the universe In your eyes and I can't wait to loose myself in you, every single possible moment."
Before I can think or let anything cloud my judgement I move closer to him and my lips gently touch his our eyes meet once again and we giggle an uncontrollable giggle
"We're doing this aren't we?" I manage to choke out
"Damn right he says" and we hold each other closer and lay on the cushioned pillows to look at the beautiful starry sky
