Expect the Unexpected

Chapter One !

I was hurrying since I was already 5 minutes late for my first subject, TLE... so I ran as fast as I can... then to my locker to get my notebook and book, when I got in... everyone was there

"Ms. Derby? Why are you late?" My teacher said as soon as I got in... cleared my throat.

"Um.. sorry ma'am it was my fault. I asked her to fix my bracelet yesterday, she woke up late..." Kayla lied. One of my bestfriends...

"oh, okay... take your seat" my teacher Ma'am Rossel said and I took a seat where Alex was

"Hey. Late again? What's the real reason this time?" he said looking at his book so it doesn't look like he's talking to me

"Ugh. I woke up late okay? The Algebra homework made me stay up until 3am" I rolled my eyes

"Hey, do you want to go swimming? just us friends? We'll be leaving on Saturday then going home on Sunday... It's a hot spring" he invited looking down... I don't know if he's embarrassed asking me or he's just pretending to read

"Sure..." I smiled "I'll go and have a sleepover since today is Thursday" I said then looked at my book too

We're at the cafeteria... Well I didn't want to but Alex wanted to eat lunch... I just bought a slice of NY cheese pizza but he ordered Rice and Egg...

We sat at the corner and started eating... I just pulled out my phone from my pocket and just looked at the time then put it back in my pocket

"So.. How many subscribers?" Alex started then took a spoonful of rice with egg then ate it

"4k still... should I post it on Facebook?" I asked a little nervous cause I had like 3.5k friends there. and I only like post my pictures there... I don't really share post like others

He swallowed the food in his mouth "you should!" he said a with a little shouting tone "your covers will go... VIRAL" he smiled so happy it made me smile too

"okay fine... I'll post one of it..." I said and took my phone out, I turned my mobile data on and pressed the Facebook app... then I uploaded a cover of me playing the guitar and singing the song Demons, which is my favorite song

"uploading..." I said showing him my phone... I'm like really nervous because this is like the first time I show my friends on facebook what I sound like when I'm singing

"hey, relax... you look so nervous" I can see him trying to hold his laugh, I just sighed and nodded

It was almost English so I quickly ran to my locker when I accidentally bumped...

"UGH what the heck!?" Alexa said bursting anger at me "How dare you bump into me?" She said as I rolled my eyes, She has been always a big bitch.... She is Alexandra Walker, Alex's twin sister... 

"Shut up, I didn't mean it... nobody likes being bumped to a jerk" I walked away leaving her jaw wide open and I was holding my laugh walking through the halls..

"Ey!" Kayla patted me on the right shoulder, I looked at her as she walks beside me..

"Oh,  uh hi Kayla... Thanks for the help at TLE" I smiled at her and she smiled back

"No prob. so you going to join us tomorrow?" she asked sounding excited

"Ofcourse I am" I said showing excitement jumping with her holding hands shouting "eeeeeeeeek!" we shout still looking like complete fools

I was heading home... since I can just walk home... I pulled out my phone from my pocket and showing 500 NOTIFICATIONS !.... Okay Gabbie... Relax.... I sighed and entered my password... I pressed the Facebook app.... I looked at the cover I posted 3 hours ago .... it has 596 reacts, 304 comments and 100 shares!

WHAT THE HELL?

I looked around seeing people looking at their phone then at me, I ran as fast as I could as I  arrived at my house closing and locking the door

"You okay?" my mom said as she looked at me worried..

She is Fathima Santiago-Derby, my mom.

"uh yeah... mom... I need to show you something" I said and showed her the post and the video with all of my nervousness... I was shaking while holding my phone the whole time

"Why are you so nervous? this is good! not good... THIS IS BEAUTIFUL!" my mom compliments me... I'm still nervous.. 

"I know but... grr..." I rolled my eyes.. "oh uh mom? Im going to a road trip with my friends on Friday till' Sunday" I just pouted and looked at her...

"okay" she smiled... "go pack... I will drive you at Alex's tomorrow" she patted my shoulder and walked to the kitchen "want some egg pie?" she asked and I excitedly ran to have a slice.. I bite into it's soft savoring taste

"how do you make this?" I asked cause I wanna know the recipe, I wanna build my own restaurant someday

"I'll tell you when you achieved your resto goal" she smiled and walked out of the kitchen like she knew what I was thinking..

I finished my pie slice and went up to my room. I turned my TV on and opened Netflix... I walked downstairs to the kitchen again, I forgot to grab snacks. I grabbed some chips, softdrink and 2 slices of egg pie... I pulled my phone out of my pocket and called Alex

Calling BBF <3

"Hello?" a voice from the other line said

"Watching Netflix, come over" I said holding a bowl putting the Lays (chips) in, I walked upstairs with my phone between my ear and right shoulder holding the chips on my left hand and softdrinks on my toght hand with the plate with 2 slices of egg pie

"Oh okay yeah.. meet you there in 15" he said and I placed the snacks on the table in my bedroom, "Byee" He said and ended the call

I started scrolling down searching for a good horror film.... until I saw "The Third Eye", I pressed the film then paused it.... I grabbed two blankets and 2 pillows then placed them on the end of my bed organized and folded..

I just waited and scrolled on TikTok... then I saw a cool prank where you pretend you have something on your hand, then slowly interwine your fingers with him/her... I don't think it's a prank... but I'm gonna try it... then suddenly, the doorbell rang.. I knew who my victim was.. so I hid my phone and rushed downstairs seeing Alex going in with my mom holding the knob of the opened door

"hey" I smile seeing hi with his pants and his white t-shirt.. "it's all set up, come on" I said and he nodded going upstairs "thanks mom" I glanced at mom that's smiling... I was surprised when she made a oppa gesture... so I just rolled my eyes and followed Alex

I grabbed my phone where my camera for the tiktok was on.. I put the speed to 1x and faced the camera to him.. "uh Alex, I have something to give you"I muted my phone and start recording, I pretended to grab something and closed my hand... got closer to him... not making my camera look like I was filming... but I am

"huh? what?" he showed his hands wide open... I interwined our fingers then quickly stopped the recording.. I hid my phone then laughed seeing him blush

"what the? um..." he felt awkward cause I was still holding his hand... so I let go quickly

I was laughing... and blushing at the same time because of the face he was making

"grrr" he turned his face from cute to monster so I stepped back holding my laugh..

"let's just watch..." I rolled my eyes playfully and sat on the right side of my bed putting the blanket around my shoulders and placed my pillow on the top of my lap... Alex did the same..

I pressed the play button and we started to watch
