It is the Year 2127 and Gladiatorial Combat now replaces all other sports. Nations send in their best team to duke it out in the illustrious Bio-dome, in a international zone north of Whitsundays Islands on a man-made Island. I was a Captain for The United States Official team. My Name was James Steel. As I said I WAS the Captain, Now I'm a captain AND a Combatant.
After My Experience in the Bio-dome was a near fatal blow to me, due to a cheating fellow named Maxwell Caorn from the Egyptian National Team, I was laying in a ICU Bed for weeks, unconscious. When I finally came to, the doctors told me my time was short on this earth. My family weeped and said their goodbyes all in their own fashion. My only Regret would have been that I never won a match in the Bio-dome.
But one what was perceived to be my last week on this physical plain. Two people, a man and a woman, dressed like agents of the governments introduced themselves.
The man Said, "Hello James, I'm sorry to meet you in this dire time."
"It's quite alright sir, but what are the both of you doing here?"
The woman replied, "What do you mean James?"
"I mean, why did you come to see me? A dying Gladiator Captain."
"Ahhhhhh!" They said in unison.
The man Continued, "We are here on the terms of our Employer Stephon Willox."
(Stephon Willox? The Mutant Gene Splicer and Creator From Germany? What Does he want with me?)
The woman Said to me, "Yes James the Same Stephon Willox. And he wants to know if you'd be willing to take part in an experiment that not only will save your life but give you a chance at the Bio-dome Championship again."
"How did you-?"
"All will be explained at the lab James." Said the pair "You just need to agree."
"............Fine"
After I said that they had my entire ICU machinery moved to a large plane destined for The Willox Mutagen Labs Inc. Main experimental Wing. I'll be honest, I was a bit terrified. I had no clue what was going on. But I am glad I took my chance. Despite what I Sacrificed.
