It was around October 8th 2017 that Doe finally began to realize who and what he was. For the past three years, A.K.A middle school, he had been dealing with a ton of self-hate, which wasn't uncommon, but most certainly wasn't good. He figured that if everyone else was dealing with it too, he wasn't any different. The truth was, Doe was very different. He always had been.

In elementary school, he always hung out with the guys. He did 'boy things', at least, that's what he was taught they were. He picked up snakes, ate bugs and dirt, and always got as dirty as he could. The problem was, everyone thought he was a girl. He had long hair, wore dresses, and his mom used to brush his nose with makeup. He always acted as girly as he could around his parents. He did 'Boy' things when no one else looked.

He was scared to admit to his parents that he was a boy. His dad, you see,  had been a pastor until they moved when he was one year old. His parents were very religious and growing up, even though he knew he was a boy, he knew he 'was a girl'.

He had one friend he could truly be himself with. Jason Morgan, his best friend and other half. Jason was the person who started him questioning himself. Jason is one of the most important people to Doe's story. In fact, Jason is so important, we'll get back to him later.

Everything started the summer before sixth grade. This is where our story begins.
