I ran up to the Gryffindor table to see Remus sat with his hair flopped over his eyes, doing homework. It looked like Defence Against the Dark Arts, his favourite subject, of course, and he was eating chocolate; he seems to get that stuff out of nowhere. I was trying to get his attention: "Remus...Remus..." His head continued to look down as if I wasn't there. "Remus, do you have any idea where James is?"

"Who?" he said in a mumble, due to a mouth full of chocolate.

"Our best friend JAMES, I need to tell him something."

"Oh," he chuckled, "Yeah, the one with the messy hair," He looked at me, finally acting as if he was paying attention, but continued to laugh. He looked down again. "What are you planning on telling him?"

I didn't want to do this, I wanted to tell James first, but I guess I've always had a soft spot for Moony, and he had to find out sooner or later. So, this was it. My secret was finally going to be out.

"Spit it out then, Sirius!" His attention was drawn back to his homework.

I sat down opposite him and leaned over his homework and began to whisper "Remus, I think I'm gay!"

"What?" he said, a surprised look hit his face.

"Remus, I'm gay!"

"Oh!" he finally looked at me paying proper attention, his eyes glistened as he looked up at me and he dragged me across the table and pulled me into a hug, and he put his lips to my ear to say "That's the best news I've ever heard." He let go of me and I lost my balance for a second and he continued to say, "Let's go and find James then, I think he'd be angry if we didn't tell him."

"Yeah," I said leaving my eyes on him, "I can't wait to see his reaction," and I stayed behind for a second just to see him walk away.

"JAMES," we shout together,"JAMES"

"WHERE THE FUCK ARE YOU JAMES,"Remus shouted, "SIRIUS HAS SOMETHING IMPORTANT TO TELL YOU, I THINK YOU'LL WANT TO KNOW, JAMES COME ON!" We were shouting all the way up to the common room to find James sat by the fire slumped and sleeping in a rather large arm chair. Remus put his finger to his lips telling me to be quiet he crept behind James and yelled, "BOO."

James awoke with a fright looking at Remus extremely angrily. I let him calm down before I said, "James, there's something I have to tell you something," I took a pause, "I'm gay."

"And?" James said quite indifferently, "That changes nothing."

I was taken aback, but then what James said sunk in, and we talked about wizard chess for the rest of the night.

Within less than a month, everyone was whispering to their friends when I walked down the hallway, because everyone knew I'm gay. I guess word spreads in a school like Hogwarts.

Three years later...

There's a crash, and Sirius falls through the door. Again. If it were anyone else, I would be surprised, but with Sirius, no. He's red in the face and looks nervous yet excited, but knowing him, he could be about to announce that he lost a sock; he's a sucker for dramatics. Last week, he created an earthquake while screaming about someone using his favourite hair product (not a literal earthquake of course, but there was definitely some ground-shaking involved). I know for a fact that it was James, but Sirius doesn't know yet, I don't think. If he did, Dumbledore would probably be getting owls from Ilvermorny complaining about the noise.

Anyway, Sirius and his sweaty-from-running face beam across the common room, right at me.

'What's up this time?' I've learnt from experience to always ask first, because of course, ickle Padfoot hates to be ignored, and I don't want him to have another tantrum; those already happen way too often.

'Well, my dear Remus, I, Sirius Black, of the Noble and most Ancient House of Black, the one and only, have got myself a job!' he bows, and starts to give himself a round of applause. Typical Padfoot.

'That's fantastic, Pads!' Sirius has been trying to get a job for months, he needs the cash so he can finally move out of his parents house - he hates it there. He's been rejected for every single job he's applied for due to his reputation here at Hogwarts as resident trouble maker - a reputation he has cultivated for many years. He looks so cute and proud of himself and ugh, I just want to hug him forever. In a completely platonic way of course.
