Chapter Four - Some Normality Returns

"Jordan." I squeal and run over to him giving him a massive hug. "What are you doing here?" I ask.

"Came down to visit you." Jordan answers.

"Really?" I ask

"Well yes and Dad want me to come check up on the branches down here." Jordan answers. The kids come over about 15 minutes after Jordan gets here. "Uncle Jordan. Hey what are you up to?" Serenity asks.

"Not much and yourself?" Jordan asks.

"Same." Serenity answers.

"So who are these two, new recites?" Jordan asks.

"I'm pretty sure that Trent and Liss wouldn't join Dark Creatures more likely to join Satin." I say. Jordan gives me a weird look. "Kids go practise fighting or something." I order and they go and do what I said.

"What do you mean more likely to join Satin, Kat?"

"Trent and Liss are Jax's kids."

"What do you mean they are Jax's kids."

"When we moved here Jax did as well around a month after he moved here his new wife and his kids moved up as well."

"But legally your still his wife, he never signed those bloody divorce papers."

"I know."I say looking down

"You still love him don't you." I say nothing and Jordan sighs. "Remember how Mum always use to say fight for what you want?" I nod. "Then fight for Jax."

"I thought you hated him."

"Oh I do, but if he makes you happy then so be it." Jordan say. "I have to go Kit Kat be good." Jordan says giving me a hug.

"I'll try." With that Jordan leaves. I watch him walk out the door. Then my phone starts to ring. "Hello." I answer.

"Where are my kids." Oh it's only Janice.

"Don't worry they're fine. Liss and Trent are with the kids and I."

"You're not doing something illegal with my kids are you?"

"Have you meet me? Janice my whole life is illegal." I say ending the call and going off to find the kids. I find the kids in the shooting area. "Hey you ready to go? Janice is beginning to freak." I say.

"Okay we will be at the car in 15 have to make sure everything goes where it belongs." Axel say. I nod my head and go out to the car. I get in and let one tear roll down my check. It hurt, it hurts like a bitch that Jax went and married again. It hurt that I still love him. I see the kids coming into view so I erase all emotion of hurt or sadness. The kids get in the car. "Kat?" Trent asks.

"Yes." I answer.

"If let's say I want to join Dark Creatures, would you let me?" Trent asks.

"I said if he did he would have to ask you first." Axel adds.

"I would love it if you joined Dark Creatures but you're a Hall you could be treated like gang royalty if you joined Satin. If you want to join a gang you should really join Satin."

"Why? I want to join Dark Creatures so why should I Satin."

"You don't know about your father?"

"What about him"

"Trent your father is the son of a gang leader I bet Noah would be over the moon to have a Hall man next in line to run the gang. You being a hall joining Dark Creatures is betraying you family."

"Who's Noah?"

"Oh you grandfather, your dads dad."

"Is he alive?"

"Yes, don't you see him or something."

"Dad said he was dead." Trent says realising that it was a lie what his father had told him. Then it hit me these people have no idea about Jax's other life, the gang life. They think that there grandfather is dead and no doubt anything for Jax's past has been kept on the down low. "You know I would be honoured if you joined Dark Creatures. I'll set up something and we can deal with it later." I say.

"Okay." Trent says looking hopeful. After all it's in his blood to be in a gang, even if it's not his own families gang.

We arrive back at home to Janice pacing in the kitchen. "Hello, hello." I greet as I walk in. Once the kids walk in Janice embraces both in a tight hug. "Where were you?" Janice asks me.

"At the gang house." I inform.

"You took my children to a gang house are you crazy."

"I'm not crazy. I just thought it would be a good idea for Trent and Liss to know some self defence, the gang house has the right equipment to teach them." I say.

"Well I guess it's a good idea with everything going on."

"You know Trent is an excellent fighter." Axel informs.

"And Liss is amazing at shooting." Serenity adds.

Some how we end up ordering pizza talking and laughing. Then Jax comes over. "Hey." He greets as he walks into the living room. "How was school kids?" He asks.

"Axel made it very interesting." Serenity teases.

"Oh God, are we still talking about that?" Axel states.

"Do I want to know?" Jax asks.

"No." Axel protests.

"Yes." Serenity says at the same time Axel protests.

"Look if Axel doesn't want everyone under the sun knowing then they don't have to know." I tell, it quiet for a few minutes.
"Axel beat some guy up." Serenity blurts out. I sigh and shake my head while axel groans, Trent and Liss quietly giggle and Jax he just smirks. Sometimes I wonder what it would be like if Jax had stayed. Would we have had more children? Would we be on the run because of some fucked up deal Jax did? These questions and others sometime run through my mind but then I remember what he did and I know. I know that we would not be together.
