Candle Light

It was 19 of December, 1993. My birthday. I was only in Secondary 2 and many people came and celebrated my birthday, Jaemin, Minhyuk and Dongmyeong came too! I was really delighted that my friends turned up to the birthday party. Many gave me presents and many gave me cards and wishes.

" Hey, Y/N, I've been wondering if you actually liked me, " Jaemin questioned me.

I was in culture shock because he has never said that but he only portray that act in front of me because of Shafiq and Andre. My other two best friends who came for the birthday party. Then, I did not knew what to reply but I quickly replied, yes. Oh yeah, I did. I did not even think twice or thrice but replied yes. He was so happy that he almost shouted that my ears could burst.

When Shafiq and Andre heard they were heart broken because I did not pick them but instead, I picked Jaemin. I guess Jaemin was my type of guy I really liked, hehe.
My parents asked me to cut the cake and I was in cloud nine but unpositive at that moment because of what happened.

We then ate the cake which was Vanilla Cake. It was delicious and everyone at the birthday party had an enjoyable time. I cherished that moment a lot too.

" Hey, Shafiq, I'm really sorry. I didn't mean to say that but I just like you as a friend okay. Same goes for Andre too. We can just be best friends. We are already Secondary 2 not Primary 5. " I apologised while walking to a nearby garden outside my house.

" You- " Shafiq almost threw a fist to my face and Jaemin blocked it. I was very lucky that Jaemin saved me from getting punched because he was jealous. When Andre saw, he was shocked too. He's jaw dropped.

I did not knew he would actually do that to a girl. He was usually a nice gentleman but as time goes by he wasn't, suddenly. I hoped and wished he turned over a new leaf. From then, we just became friends.

" Let's go Y/N, " Jaemin pulled my hand while walking to my room.

He made me sat on the bed and he started giving me a stare. I turned around and walked out of my room because I felt really uncomfortable for some reason. I went to my parents and ate another piece of cake to relieve my energy.
