It had been a couple weeks since Sydney and I had first skyped with the boys, and we had kept in contact. Zayn and I were always texting, and we would skype whenever we got the chance, and most of the time the boys were there when we would skype and Sydney too, so I got to know everyone pretty well.

It was Monday June 11th 2012, and it was the last week of exams for my school. I still had three more exams, one today, one on Tuesday, and one on Friday, but I wasn’t complaining. It was almost summer break. After this week, although school wasn’t officially over, it would really feel like summer.

I looked back to the biology textbook that sat there open on my bed and sighed. I hated science, hated it. I only understood it when my teacher talked about it in class, but once it came to tests and such, I had no clue what was being asked. Unfortunately, my parents wanted me to be a well rounded student, and keep all doors open, so they made me take it.

I hadn’t told my parents yet about Zayn and the rest of One Direction, because that would clearly go on my dad’s list about no shenanigans, especially since I had first talked to them when they were away in Greece, so he’d probably think Sydney got me to do some bad things just for the sake of male attention.

Almost on q, Sydney walked through my bedroom door, and plopped herself down on my bed and smiled. Her smile was mischievous though, and I knew she had just done something that she shouldn’t have. Suddenly, my parents came up the stairs, and looked enraged.

“Nike Vivian Connolly, I cannot believe you!” My mother yelled, and I had no idea what was going on.

“We trusted you, and you talk to this boy, over the internet?!” My father spoke, and I looked to Sydney. She had told them about Zayn, why, I have no idea, but I never wanted to see her face ever again.

I didn’t say anything, I just started to cry, and Sydney got up off my bed, and left my room. I heard the front door close, and I knew she was gone. Good, even thinking about her was making me angry.

“You’re grounded. No phone, laptop, tv, anything until we say so. The only fun you’re going to be having is studying.” My father spoke, and then they both left my room, shutting the door, my laptop and blackberry. That was when I really started to bawl as I laid there face down on my bed, and cried myself to sleep.

The next day, I made my way to school down the sidewalk. Usually, Sydney would drive me, but luckily she hadn’t shown up this morning. We both had taken Biology though, so that would mean I would see her during the exam.

I still couldn’t believe she had told my parents about Zayn. She was spontaneous, and you never really knew what to expect from her, but I never thought she would do that to me. I definitely felt betrayed. It was almost worse than the feeling I got when I had found out Josh was cheating on me.

Shaking those thoughts from my mind, I made my way into school, and to my locker. I looked into the small mirror that was hung by a magnet, I looked terrible. My eyes were red and puffy, and I hadn’t bothered to take a shower this morning, I just pulled my hair up into a messy bun. I then sat down in front of my locker, and pulled out my biology textbook. To top everything off, all I did was cry myself to sleep, so I was not prepared for this exam at all. Hello summer school.

As I was flipping through a few pages of my biology textbook, I saw a shadow block some of my light, and I looked up and sighed. Of course Josh would pick today to make my life even more miserable.

“Hey, what’s wrong with you? Someone hug you and you thought they were raping you?” He spoke and grinned. I glared at him and stood up, and started to walk away. Of course he followed me.
