A/N: Hello everyone! This is my very first story and I hope you enjoy! Forgive me for dragging the chapters out, you'll meet your favorite skeleton in a few parts!! Also I'm sorry if the first couple chapters are a bit short, they do get longer eventually!

I have to escape him, you think, sprinting through the dark woods, I know just the place to disappear. You swiftly pull your black hood tighter over your head as the wind whips it back. Your (f/c) boots make no sound as you practically fly through the woods, as quiet as a ninja. The only sound is the clinking of your two silver swords strapped across your back. You reach a clearing and pause to stare up at the starry night sky. Mount Ebott, you think, They say those who climb up here never return. Perfect for me, I suppose. You stop yourself. Don't think that way (Y/N), it's the only way to get away. You trudge up the steep hill, winding through the thick pine trees, using the moonlight to guide you. How exactly do I disappear? You wonder. Just before you plunge into the darkness.
Falling, falling, falling, your screams muffled by the wind whistling in your ears. Then, everything stopped.
"Ugh, my head..." you mutter, your (h/c) hair falling around your face, "What happened?" You glance up, squinting, and reality crashes down.
"The mountain!" You exclaim, bolting up from a bed of what seems to be golden flowers. You gaze around, confused again.
"Where am I now though?" A small, yellow flower pops out from the ground, causing you to jump back in shock. It looks like it was hurt.
"Please," The flower says, "please don't hurt me, human! I've already been through so much!" A small tear runs down its scratched-up face. You feel a rush of pity for the poor creature.
"Why would I hurt you?" You say as gently as possible, kneeling down to face the flower. It glances at your back.
"Well...you have those swords!" It says shakily. You smile to yourself.
"Don't worry," you say, "they're not for you. They were intended for...someone else...but I don't think I need them anymore," A large grin appears on the flower's face.
"Oh, thank you, human!" It exclaims happily.
"Of course," you reply, "now, how do I get out of this place?" The flower's joy instantly vanishes and it wilts slightly.
"You'd have to break the barrier which requires a...human soul," Your head drops and you become hopeless. No! You have to get out!
"Is there another way? There has to be another way!" You say desperately. The flower shakes its small head.
"There is no other way but violence, miss," it says gravely, "down here, it's kill...or be killed" Your fists clench. You're determined to get home.
"Well," you say, "I guess I'll have to make another way then!" You begin to stand but the flower stops you.
"No!!" It exclaims, "You don't understand! The monsters down here are merciless!"
"I guess I'll teach them to show me some mercy, then," you reply bravely, crossing your arms tightly across your black hoodie. Then, a horrifying laugh echoes around you. It sounds like a witch's laugh, only deeper. Your entire body tenses up and you're itching to grab your swords.
"What was that?!" You ask.
"That was Toriel, the 'caretaker' of the ruins! Run before she kills you!" You almost run off but forget one thing.
"Thank you..."
"Flowey"
"(Y/N)" You share a final smile with Flowey before you sprint as fast as you can in the opposite direction.
"Come here, my child!" Toriel shrieks, "I'll cook you up a nice meal!"
