"6 years. It has been 6 years since all of that happened", I thought to myself as I stared at her photo on my mobile phone. I let out a deep sigh, followed by a smile. My eyes were almost flooded with tears, but stopped when the train announced we were going to reach Jeonju in 5 minutes. I closed my mobile and stood up, getting ready to get off.
The doors opened, a huge crowd in front of me started getting clear and I followed them out of the train. When I got out of the station, it was already snowing, as if to welcome me. I had always loved the snow ever since I was in middle school. I started walking in the snow, a 24-year-old happily hopping like a little boy. It was around 12 of the night. Some people were running, others were in pairs, holding hands. Buses and cars were still running.
After walking for some time, a bus stop came in my sight. I could see two men, one student and a woman from afar. The two men and the student got on a bus, the woman stood still. As I got nearer, the woman raised her head and looked at my direction. She was wearing a hoodie, impossible to recognize from far away. Shivering in the cold, I continued walking to the bus stop, wondering if she was someone I knew, waiting for me. As I reached nearer, finally her face started getting clearer.
As soon as I saw her face, I froze at the spot. My heart seemed to stop beating. But again, it seemed to be beating ten thousand times faster than a normal heart beat. Millions of thoughts crossed my mind, but I couldn't recall a single one. Her face shone under the moonlight, with snow falling all over her. It somehow looked like a scene from a movie or a drama where the leads meet magically. She recognized me, let out a smile and called my name, "Sehun-ahhhh!". We stared at each other for a moment. She still had that bright smile on her face, and I smiled back at her. I went closer to her, and without saying anything else, simply hugged her.
It was her ! We met once again !
The path of our fate that was blocked by a huge storm, started flowing like the river once again. The two broken hearts that used to heal each other, met each other once again.
