Emma awoke from a horrible nightmare, a repeat she has been having for the past few weeks now. She glanced over at her clock half expecting it to read midnight, or 3am. The clock read 8am. Emma rolled back over in bed thinking it was saturday. A few minutes later she jumped from bed slamming her head into the shelf that was above it forgetting it was there, she cringed and fell on the floor holding her head cursing to herself.

Damnit damnit damnit, im late for school, Miss Hooks is going to kill me! GAH! i can't believe i didnt set my alarm. she thought as she was stumbling her way across her room grabbing random scraps of clothes she thought were clean. She rushed through her morning ritual, get up, get dressed, brush teeth, grab a gronola bar and she was then out the door racing for the school as fast as she could. She was out of breath about half way and was panting really hard. damn i really need to start exersizing more often, this is killing me, she thought to herself.

Emma was a gangly girl, very slim, pale, and no boobs. She had fire red hair, inherited from her mom who was a fool irish woman, with the temper to go along with it. She also had her mothers startling green eyes. Her eyes were the only thing she liked about herself. What she hated the most was the thick jagged scar that ran from one side of her throat to the other...the scar that always reminded her of that day...the day she lost everything...

Emma burst into the school without thinking, and all the students standing in the hallway were staring at her, some were snickering at her apperence. She had grabbed a pair of old jeans, and a worn out grey shirt that had a unicorn on the front, her hair was just as unruly as ever so she wasnt really sure why they were staring at her nose strip attached to her nose, she had forgetten to take it off in her hurried state this morning. Emma blushed furiously and tore the nose strip from her nose, wrong move, it hurt so bad ripping it off she yelped making the other kids laugh that much more.

Emma had never been popular, in fact, she had no friends whatsoever. She had always been the bullied, the geek, the one who took the blame when it was one of the popular kids faults. Emma sighed and made her way to her locker ignoring the snide remarks coming from the kids on her way. She reached her locker only to find a very unpleasent surprise to say in the least. Some of the kids must have taped a big sign on her locker reading a bunch of vulgur names. This didnt affect her anymore, shes so used to all the pranks, and harrassment she recieved from her peers. she just ripped it off and through it in the trash can beside her and opened her locker to grab her books.

When she got to class she was the first one there, she sighed in relief she didnt have to deal with the normal assholes who harrassed her in class till a bit later. Emma didnt really mind not having any friends. It just got really lonely sometimes. She began to think about her past, which was never good...she thought about that night she was walking home from her part-time job, the guys in the ally---. Emma shook those thoughts out of her head, she wouldnt cry. Not here. Not when a student could walk in any minute, and that would just give them more pleasure thinking they made her cry. She took a deep breath, pulled out her favorite manga from her bag, and began reading. She read all the way through class, since it was self study, ignoring the paper balls being thrown at her, the vulgur suggestive remarks coming from guys, and the snide venomous ones coming from the girls.

Why cant life be like this manga, were everyone gets along? Emma thought. Why cant i be like her, reffering to the blond girl propping herself up on a desk across the room, with girls and guys both swarmed around her. That girl was Gabby Laird. The most popular girl in school. Emma wished so much that she could just once, show Gabby what a living hell she had made her life. See if she could put up with all the stuff her and her friends put her through.

"Ok class settle down, we have a new student," Called Mr. Davis from the front of the classroom. Emma just continued reading her manga. As if she cared whether they had a new student or not, the kid would probably be targeted by Gabby anyways. "This is Myth McClarin," Mr. Davis announced introducing him to the class. "He just moved here from Ireland, he isnt used to living in America, and doesnt know his way around, i hope you all get along with him and offer him your assistance if he needs help, Now Myth Introduce yourself to the class please." Mr. Davis said, Emma still wasnt paying attention she was swept away in a world were everything was right and no one was bullied or beaten.
