THREE DAYS LATER...

We agreed to meet up on campus at 6 pm. I suggested a panic, so I set down the blanket and the basket I brought with me while I waited. A few minutes later Lucyan arrives and I wave.
"Hello."
"Hi."
"What's in the basket?" He questions, sitting down.
"I'm not entirely sure. I think there's some grilled sandwiches? I don't know-Nama has a friend of hers-Arcadia, Tiana's daughter-to make something for me. I supervised and told her some things I wanted, but that's about it. Anyway, let me see what we have here." I murmur as I pull out two grilled sandwiches wrapped in tin foil, two cups (to put drinks in), several utensils and napkins, some strawberries and finally... a cheesecake. I lick my lips at all the delicious food and look up to see Lucyan looking down at it, seeming to be overwhelmed.

I didn't know much about the Isle, but according to Sylvia, the food was not the greatest.
"I'm guessing you've never seen food this good, huh?"
"We ate slops and rotten food on the Isle. So... yeah, I never have had food this good!" He explains and I frown. He picks up one of the grilled cheeses to distract himself and unwraps as I pick up my own.
"Was it... lonely over there?"
"Usually. But I had my sister and we occasionally got permission to visit our mom. In dad's absence she took over the Underworld. Still, it felt... like being trapped. But I don't expect you to understand-"
"No, I get it."
"You do?"
"Yeah," I reply, taking a bite of my grilled cheese, "I was kept in Neverland all my life. Dad cut ties with the rest of Auradon after learning that they were to refrain from magic. And I... well, he wouldn't let me go to Auradon, but then I got a letter two days before my 17th birthday that I would be going. I'm lucky- my mum has always had my back with this stuff." I explain as we chew in silence. As I open the container of strawberries and offer some to Lucyan, he hums.
"Huh. I didn't think I'd meet an AK before that understood."
"Well, now you have!" I say, as we devour the strawberries rather quickly.
"Yeah, now I have." I look at the moon.
"The view is pretty." I murmur.
"It is." Lucyan replies and I look over to see him staring at me. I look down and blush.
"Stop it!" I scold.
"Stop What?"
"Stop saying those things when you don't mean it-I know you're just teasing me!"
"Who says I'm teasing? Besides-you agreed to this date." I sighed and nodded knowing he had a point.
"I guess I'm doomed." I joke, and suddenly, I feel his hand brush my cheek.
"Sorry... I-" I stare at him for a minute, before leaning closer.
"It's alright." I reply as our lips connect together under the moonlight.

I don't remember which book I mentioned this in...

But I always feel awkward writing kissing scenes-I've never gone on a date or kissed anyone before so... yeah.

I don't want pity, I'm just saying. It feels awkward XD
