' PROLOGUE '
"We wanna stay with you, Bonnie!" The young girl argues, her arms folded over her chest adorably.
"I'm sorry, Cor, but I promised your father that I would keep you safe," the older woman says, her eyes watery, "and the Salvatore school will do just that."
The twins huff, their eyes turning gold. "Do you guys remember Lizzie and Josie? The twins that broke the curse?" The twins nod. "Well their father runs the school so they should be there too."
"Will you visit us?" The young boy asks as they approach the gates of the school. Bonnie takes a deep breathe and wipes her tears away before turning to the children in her back seat.
"Of course, Aiden." Bonnie says with a small smile before driving the through the now open gates. The car comes to a stop in front of the school. "You two need to promise me something," the two look at Bonnie through the rear view mirror, "promise me that you two will always protect each other, no matter how much trouble you guys find us in, you guys will always be there for each other."
The two continue to stay quiet. "Promise me." Bonnie says, sternly.
The twins look at each other. "We promise."
The backseat doors open, making the kids heads snap in that direction. "Its nice to see you two again." The man says with a smile before looking over to Bonnie.
"Take good care of them okay?" Bonnie says as the twins climb out of the car.
"Of course." The man says, remorsefully.
"I love you, Coraline. I love you, Aiden. I'll see you guys soon, alright?" Bonnie says. The twins smile before they both blow a kiss at her. Alaric closes the door before Bonnie drives off.
"Well, kids, welcome to the Salvatore School for the young and gifted!"
