It was a really hot day outside, so I decided to ask Tyler if he wanted to go out to my pool. "Hey, Tyler? Considering it's a very hot day outside, would you like to go out to my pool?" I ask. He looks at me, softness in his eyes, and smiles. "I would love to, Josh," he says, enthusiastically. We quickly get our shorts on and go into the backyard, staring at the pool we recently filled. I run over to the diving board, losing my grip on Tyler's sweaty hand. He follows me, anyway. I climb onto the diving board, looking down and seeing Tyler hesitant to climb up with me. I quickly crouch down. "Hey, it's okay. It's not scary," I assure him. He just looks up and down a couple times. "I don't know, Josh, do you think we'll break it if we're both up there?" he asks, voice trembling. I sigh. "No, Tyler, it's strong enough to hold both of us. Just climb up, you'll be fine," I say to him. Eventually, he climbs up onto the diving board. I hold him in my arms, his sweat dripping off his back onto me. "Gosh, Tyler, you're really sweaty," I tell him, still holding on. He quickly does the same. "You're not sweaty, but my hands are," he says, wiping his hands all over me. "Ewwwww," I laugh. "Ready?" I ask, eager to jump into the water. "I guess so," Tyler says. Without warning, I pick Tyler up, my grip under his sweaty armpits, though he still has his hands on my back. I assume we'll be fine, so I quickly jump in. As I feel the water on my foot, I drop Tyler. I close my eyes and hold my breath just before my head becomes submerged in the water. It feels nice, but I have to get back up so I can find Tyler. I wipe the water from my face and look around. I see Tyler on the poolside, holding his knee to his chest, looking down at it. Not knowing what happened, I quickly get out and run over to him. "What happened, Ty?" I ask, looking down at his knee. I don't see any blood, so I assume something else happened. "When you dropped me, I hit the bottom of the pool. Now my knee hurts," he explains. I sit down next to him, feet dangling in the water. "How bad does it hurt?" I ask, just to be cautious. "It doesn't hurt really bad, just a little bit. I think I'll be fine, but, maybe a hug will make me feel better," he says, looking up at me with puppy dog eyes. "Okay, I'll give you a hug," I say. He smiles at me as we both stand up. "Y'know, you're really cute when you smile," I tell him. He just stares at me and pulls me into a big hug. "Okay, do you feel better about your knee, now?" I ask. "Yeah, I think we can go swim more, now," he says to me. He grabs my hand and we run over to the diving board once again. He climbs up first, and I follow. This time, he pulls me into a hug from the back and jumps. We both hit the water together, letting go of each other as we get underwater. He grabs my hands and pulls me from underneath the water. I let my hands out of his grip and wipe the water off my face. He looks at me again, putting my hands to the tattoos on his chest. He puts his arms around my neck. We look into each other's eyes for a few seconds, but then, out of nowhere, he moves my hands to the back of his neck and puts one of his hands on the back of my head, pulling me into a kiss. His soft lips touch mine. I can feel his warm breath on my face. He pulls away, leaving me wanting more. We look at each other and smile. "Did you like that?" Tyler asks me, hope in his eyes." "Yes, I loved it," I say, hugging him.
