Milena pov

Today's my 18th birthday. And instead of celebrating I have to work, not that I hate work. I love my job to death! But I never get a day off!! It's like they think they'll fall apart without me. I work at a club called Phoenix. And before you get your knickers in a twist I don't work behind the bar. Im a waitress and entertainer, not a stripper, I sing. So as of now I'm just sitting at one of the tables in the ladies dressing room doodling and humming along with the guy who's on the stage singing disco stick by lady gaga. It's obviously karaoke night.. Yippee! note the sarcasm. If theres one day I hate working it's karaoke night. It's not because I hate hearing other people sing it's just that the way we do things here at the Phoenix... If someone else signs you up you have to get up and sing whatever song you were signed up with, no matter how embarrassing it is. It's really stu- "Milena!! Hello anybody home!?!? You were signed up so get your butt out there." Karen Cooper yelled at me. She's used to me spacing out so she's not weirded out at all. Haha! I walked out on the stage and saw the selection and felt a strong surge of confidence. (The song she's singing is I'll always remember you by Miley Cyrus) This was one of my all time favorite songs. As soon as the song was over she bowed and blew kisses to all of the onlookers and went back to the dressing room where everyone was waiting for her. "It's almost closing time guys" she told them smiling. "Uhhhh yeahhh it is.. Why are you so excited about that..?" Karen asked "well if you must know, I plan on going to a party after I leave here. Then I'll probably go home and sleep for two days. Tell the boss I'm not comin' in this weekend will ya??" I responded easily. "Umm you know boss isn't gonna let you off this weekend right? Summer weekends are the busiest time for us! You're just gonna leave us to deal with it on our own? what if there's a riot? who's gonna calm them down?" Chastity Marten all but screamed "look guys, you're perfectly capable of taking care of this place. What happens when I move and you have to survive everyday without me? you'll do fine. Just call me if you need anything. And when I say that I mean if someone dies. got it?" I reasoned. "Whatever let's go get these people out of here so we can close up!" Lydia yelled over us. "okay then!" I responded dramatically walking out and hopping on the bar. "Alright people!! Closing time. You know the drill get out or spend the night in jail!! If you're too drunk to drive tell Brody! He'll call you a cab" I announced winking at Brody after the last part which he grunted a response to. 20 minutes later I was helping a drunk lady who called herself 'the funk master' into a cab. I waited till they had safely departed before waking back into the Phoenix and locking the door behind me. On the way home I was singing loudly to Kristina Debarges song goodbye and dancing goofully. As soon as I got home I ran to the shower and washed every centimeter of my body in hopes I could get the smell of alcohol off me, not that it'd help much. After successfully cleaning myself I wrapped a towel around my body and grabbed another to towel dry my hair. Then I blow dried and curled my hair and started up on my makeup. I did my base and powder then I decided it'd be a good idea to pick out my outfit before going all out on my makeup. I decided on a skin tight blood red half tank top and high waisted black leather shorts with fishnet leggings under them. I did black and silver eye shadow and red lipstick with a light pink blush and black eyeliner and mascara. Then I put on black heels that had some red on them and put on some black hoops and left.
