It doesn't appeal to me. It never has.
Look, I'm not saying this out of ship bias (in other words, just because I ship Advanceshipping) because I ship BOTH Ash and May with plenty other people.
I'm saying this because I truly don't see why this ship is so popular. No matter how hard I've tried, I just can't see these two together.
At one point, this was my "OTP" but never felt like it genuinely was. I didn't crack a smile at all while watching their moments, I didn't fangirl while looking at fanart and fanfics of about them.
I was literally just trying to force myself to ship something I could never see work out because at the time, I hopped on the bandwagon of most of the popular ships (except Ikarishipping) and assumed that a ship was good if it was really popular.
(Thankfully, I stopped thinking like that and now I'm a huge rarepair stan lol)
Contest is truly not meant for me. It now makes me extremely uncomfortable seeing anything about them that isn't platonic.
Hopefully the respectful Contestshippers will understand. (I say the respectful ones because the majority of the CS fanbase is really toxic-)
